The "robot" is actually a character from the Danger Girl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danger_Girl) comics. He is called Major Maxim and he is cool. He is kind of like a chemically augmented super Nazi though. If you like comics, you will like this. It was a short lived series and they no longer make it. It is in graphic novel form and very well drawn and funny. The star is Abbey Chase, here is what she looks like:
