so i was cleaning out my refridgerator last week getting ready to move, and in the back of the fridge, i came across a container that's been sitting in there since November '04. It was some type of dip. my fridge also sucks in that the temperature controls are broken, so things pretty much freeze in there. i ended up having to let it sit overnight to defrost. when i opened it up the next day, it just looked like a mucousy infected mess. I probably should have just thrown the whole thing out.

what's the oldest thing in your fridge?

I started a thread about this same topic years ago. I finally cleaned out my grandparent's fridge and freezer and was shocked at what I found.

Dried out cheese, moldy meat, rotten oranges and no lie, frozen steaks with my grandmother's own label on them from the 90's. This was like 2 years ago. Holy shit.

My fridge hardly ever has expired shit in it. I eat it. Insert your own fat jokes......in your own ass.

I realized long ago that for whatever reason I will not eat leftovers. Even if an entire steak is left after barbecuing I throw it away. It sounds wasteful, but the alternative is stashing it in my fridge only to discover it 8 months later.

If only those kids starving in Africa that mom always talked about were a little closer...

I try hard to obey the 3 day rule. If it's not consumed 3 days after preparation, it will be teeming with bacteria. Chuck that shit out! (or give some to the dog)

Thanks John Stossell!!

I always leave stuff in the fridge. I need to start making a list of things I have in there. I always for get I have food half the time, especially salad stuff.
One time I never got to eat this bag of ready made salad and by the time I fished it out of the crisper it was just about full liquidated.

I've got an open bottle of Jagermeister that's been in my fridge for over 3 years, but I doubt it counts as being disgusting. Other than that, I'm pretty good at clearing out the bad stuff.
