Those sleep-deprived, multitasking
drivers _ clutching cell phones, fiddling with their radios or applying
lipstick _ apparently are involved in an awful lot of crashes.

Distracted drivers were involved in nearly eight out of 10 collisions
or near-crashes, says a study released Thursday by the government.

Now we know how to reduce accidents

Ban these

And of course, in Virginia they did

RICHMOND, Va. - Virginians who wear their pants so low
their underwear shows may want to think about investing in a
stronger belt.

Lawmakers passed a bill Tuesday authorizing a $50 fine for
anyone who displays his or her underpants in a "lewd or indecent
manner."

I thought it was radio bits that caused people to drive off the road.

It's the truth. Can't say how many times I've ended up in another lane with that fucking iPod. Now I just shuffle it and hit the forward button past shit I don't want to hear. I can do that and drive fine.

I wonder how many people on phones cause accidents?

In NJ, do you get ticketed for being on a cell while driving or do you just get a warning? Or do the cops need to pull you over for some other reason to nail you for driving while on the phone. I think people on phones while driving should be ticketed. Then again, I'm all for the NJ ban on smoking. I;m that kind of bitch I suppose.

The few accidents Ive had where I have been at fault were always when I was distracted. Wether I was looking at my cell, adjusting the radio, looking for a cassette/cd or fumbling in the glove compartment or looking at something other than whats in front of me.
