I know this is the serious life forum section but this is
the best place to post this sort of thing.
It would have been serious a few years ago but it’s happening so many
times I feel like it’s a big joke being played on me and just laugh at the
entire situation. Please feel free to
do the same.

So, my car, my poor car.
It was hit, again, for the 3rd time. It seems like this car is a magnet for pain,
there must be a subliminal message being beamed out from this car that no one can
see, at least no one with out snazzy 80s sunglasses (Them? They? One of those
movies)

In 2003 I bought my car, a “Yay! I graduated college and got
a job!” thing. A few months later I end
up rear ending some farmer in a pickup truck and dented up the whole
front. I had it fixed, and things were
merry, for 48 f’ing hours. I picked the
car up from the shop on a Friday afternoon and by Sunday it was hit again. I had it parked outside a friend’s house, we
went for a run and when I come back I see the door had been dented in. No note left, no sign of anything, just a
hit and run. Lucky me. I get the car fixed and everything is merry,
for a few more months. While at another
friend’s house my car was parked on the street, just like a whole lot of other cars. We go out to dinner (or something, don’t
remember) and I come home to the front of the car smashed up. No note again, another hit and run. Luckily for me I see tire tracks going right
into my car, someone had backed out of a driveway across the street, made a
hard turn, and rammed my car. The cops
were called, they got the guy to admit it, insurance paid for the damages, and
things were merry.

Things were merry for about a year, until yesterday. I was at that same friend’s house but I had
parked on the other side of the street away from where I was hit last
time. We all go out to the movies, see
Silent Hill, and drive home. The
weather had turned sunny and warm, back on his street I notice something white
on my front window under the wiper. “Oh
no! Not another ticket!” I think, but as I walk closer what do I notice, THE
CAR HAS BEEN HIT AGAIN!!! This time
someone from a different driveway had backed out, smashed the front corner, and
dented the metal side panels.

At least this time the person left a note. I called them up, exchanged info, and called
up Geico, and now I get to take my car into the shop for the 4th time. The good thing about all of this? I have never once had to wax my car. Every year since I have bought it I have had
it smashed up. When I get it repaired
the shop cleans it up, gives it a nice shine and detail, and I am set for the
summer.

I wonder if they offer any sort of frequent repair
program.

Oy.
