D Blaine is a pompous ass, he plays his "mystical" persona to idiots
and makes money just being a hack. I fucking despise him, and I despise
the cattle-like masses for supporting arrogant con-artists and their
bullshit. I wanted him to drown. I hope his skin sloughs off, becomes
sentient, eats Dave Blaine, shits him out and sells him on Ebay.
I still have one of those dolls somewhere. It was a very odd ACTION FIGURE, though - he was smaller than the Megos, and was very bendy, which I guess he needed to fit on the motorcycle. Ron was 100% right - the "Snake River Canyon" gimmick totally sucked the air out of the fad, even the toys for that seemed like the breaking point - kind of like the 4 solo KISS albums.

Trailers work the other way too - make bad movies seem like they might be good ("Lost in Space" is my eternal example with this). They have become the real end product of filmmaking. Just make a movie so you can get the trailer to get the butts in seats opening weekend.
