Wait, why is Ron bashing Dave? Dave called Mikey a Nazi on-the-air. Mikey calls Dave at Home, and Dave tries to laugh it off. Mikey tries to break into his house, and Dave calls the cops.   I don't see ANYTHING that Dave did wrong... it's not like he filed a complaint report or anything.

I doubt bush honestly is even paying attention to this. Hes totally shielded from this stuff so its basically a waste of time. I cant stand bands that make albums based on a political issue and trying to get all activist. I was a big greenday fan back over 13 years ago and a big fan of NOFX, but those two bands are spending more time writing political crap than good music and its a huge turn off. My music is an escape for me.. not a time to dwell on one political theme thats been beat into the dirt.I think he is paying attention.I mean it is kind of hard not to since everyone is talking about it, and he is a big country fan.I actually like it when artisit use what is going on in the world. I mean they are just discussing their opinons. Wow, now I understand Ron's comment about Matty on the air today... For me anyway, reading the last few pages of posts was like an object lesson. The idea that folks shouldn't be concerned when an artist is squeezed out ot the marketplace due to expressing ideas that are at odds with the interests of a ruling party (or a powerful corporation, or really any power) is madness.  If it doesn't give you pause, then you're not paying attention.  When Walmart can dictate the content of video games, force artists to change album covers & lyrics, etc etc... This is bad for art, bad for free speech, bad for the very fundamental basis of America.When a small group of corporations dictate what art has a chance to find an audience, we're all guaranteed to be losing out.  Whether the small group of corps are CBS + ABC + Clear Channel etc, or Walmart + Target etc... Witness the recent Lindsey Lohan payola story.  It's happening. I just clicked around <a href="http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/retrieve_chart_history.do?model.vnuArtistId=28586&model.vnuAlbumId=772530" target="_blank">billboard.com</a> and it looks like the Dixie Chick's album is doing pretty well -- top 40 for singles and the album.  So, basically the album is selling well despite the (alleged?) fact that they are being frozen out of rotation on country radio.  That should be a big fat red flag that something is out of whack. And, the idea that they are somehow whoring by bringing up the topic again... The press or fans or whoever were inevitably going to bring up the original incident upon their next release, so really, what would you expect them to do & why be disappointed that they try to turn it to their advantage or have another poke at making a point?And, btw, I'm firmly in the camp of folks that believe that Tom Cruise was pounced on for being a nut.  For offering strident advice on someone else's health and the health of their child.  And for jumping on sofas & for acquiring a high-profile and seemingly super transparent beard.  The idea that the drug co's whacked him in the press seems, well, nuttier.
