In my 20s I dated SO many musicians and got my heart broken everytime. No, I was never the girl who showed her tits at a concert.

I married a guy not so into music. For various reasons it didn't work out. The last musician I dated was the most stable. with a 9-5 job, he owned his own house. Again, it didn't work out.

I dated a really awesome drummer from this board. He's harsh on line but nothing but a gentleman when he's with a chick.

I know for a fact I'm NOT the only chick on the board who feels this way.

Or maybe I am.

I'm 39 and too old for this shit.

So WHY do chicks always lower their standards fo musicians?

It's a gutteral response. Music is sex. It's cool to get laid by a band member of some un named or unsigned band.

I wasn't getting laid as a quote-un-quote journalist. The shit I wrote in college didn't matter. There was no way I would make out with Dave Navaro. Or Iggy Pop. I just went home and wrote about a phenomenal show I saw.

.

Sorry. I knew what to write about, but I was an outsider and not a girlfriend of a named member. I did get free beer though.

Which one of those times was the time Fezzie gave you away?

And maybe that's who you should date. I'm not sure about Fez's musical skills, but he seems sort of like the rebel musician type at least.

I think the point here is there's assholes in everything, but the majority of musicians I've met are fairly cool and love music so much they want to make it a large part of their life in some significant way.
