Were the pink short shorts and the rainbow bumper sticker optional or standard?
Why spend the money when you already have them?

Jeff, you're just lucky I can't find FTL's old Mercedes photoshop of you on my webserver. You may want to hope it's not on my home pc anymore... or the YMB archives...

Congratulations and best of luck with the new wheels, Jeff. Score another sale for the "crossover" market I talked about in Snoogans post. These car based sedan-wagon-SUV type vehicles are becoming more and more popular, offering more cargo space than a traditional 4-door, yet much better gas mileage (and a much smoother ride) than trucks. The price is a lot nicer, too.

I like 'em a lot, and I think the HHR is a step in the right direction for Chevy. They're finally making vehicles that are exciting and don't look like rental cars.

Enjoy!

Don't let these people fuck with you, those kinds of cars have a lot of space in them.

I don't care, really. I never understood the whole "chick car/guy car" thing anyway when it comes to gray area vehicles like this. I bet if you ask any 50 people what the definition of a chick car and guy car is, they would give you 50 different answers. Some people say it's horsepower, others say its body style. The people who say it's body style can't adequately describe what in particular about the body is feminine or masculine that is unique to a female car or male car only. Like for example, my friend says the new eclipse is a chick's car, but the FX is a man's car. Why, I ask? It just is, he answes, than goes into a diatribe on size and horsepower, which doesn't really make sense. Size makes the car feminie or masculine? that's ridiculous. Would you call a Suburu WRX a feminine car? It's a butt ugly 300 hp rocketship. And even the eclipse, and I'm well aware of its feminine reputation, is well respected amongst sport tuner enthusiasts as an excellent low-priced vehicle with sufficient engineering to support high-end aftermarket performance enhancmeents. Same as the civic.

I think it's all ridiculous. I can debate any car in the world on its supposed gender. I defy anyone to try making an arguement either way for pretty much any car exceot the absurd ones, like the Hummer, which is so egregiously masculine I won't even bother defending it. That's a man's car, for the simple reason that its absolutely and utterly useless as a vehicle it defies common sense and blasts off into lunacy.

And if you're going to start with Mustangs, I see more girls driving Mustangs (and Camaros) by the shore than I do guys.
