The "M" in ATM stands for the word "machine". </p><p>It makes no sense. Why abbreviate the words if you're only gonna say them anyway? <p>I've always been stumped by "Hot water heater". I'm fairly sure that if the water already came to use heated we wouldn't need to heat it yet again. I think this falls into the category with PIN number and other related associatons.</p><p>If you go to some sites they actually have it correct and merely as you to enter your PIN.</p><p>My biggest pet peeve is with someone who asks me to sign my John Henry to a document. I'm confident that the steel driving man is known more for pitting himself against machine rather than signing any famous pieces of paper.</p>
