My mon found two stray kittens in our yard this afternoon. They seem
to be very friendly, but their eyes are running so we don't want to
touch them. She led them into an old ferret cage we had. They are on
the deck, and the mom is lurking around, but is scared of people.

WHo do I call? I don't want to have them go somewhere that would put them to sleep.

Edit: I have no idea why this went to this forum. Mods, can you help?

Look in the phonebook or on the internet for a no-kill type of shelter/rescue place
in your area.

I suggest calling/taking them to ASPCA.

Or you can call, NYC Animal Rescue at (212) 788-4000 (for all five boroughs).
