View Full Version : I heard a replay that really got to me.

I was listening to Ronnie's rant about people not
pitching in and the show not getting the same vibe as the 'NEW
days.  I have been on board with the show since the DOT COMMANDO
days.  I call in all the time and I just won a BOONDOCK SAINTS
DVD.  I  was thinking about all the stuff that Ronnie
said..............and I kinda think he is right.  I have been
looking at this board forever and never really posted on it.  I
don't really know why, but lately I've been getting into the swing of
things.  It is a really weird feeling to have a affection for
people you never met.  It's weird to have such a strong sense of
loss when your favorite radio show is gone for a year and 1/2.  I
feel a connection to that show like nothing I can fully explain. 
The friends of mine that dig the show, and "get" the show,
...........well....it's kind of like we have a short hand when we speak
to one another.   It takes a special kind of person to be a
R/F fan.  I really believe that .  So with that in mind, I
love all you people on this board.  I wanted to tell you that, and
I wanted to share my outlook on it.   Rob B.A.C 276.

was this to like brag and try to say you are such a great caller and asset to the show, and that all the other callers suck?I dont get why the part about you winning the DVD is important to the point aside from that, the main points arent bad, and pretty truthful, except alot of people on this board do personally know each other, I think thats why it all was so close and tight knit. Its harder for that with a national audience

why do people think we are gonna break balls just cause someone is new. The ball breaking is on the post content, not the count. His/her post woulda been great if not for that.

I can say that it is weird to be new to the message boards when you consider yourself a long time hardcore Ron and Fez fan. Its sorta like a paranoia about having enough "cred" if you will. That may be what he have going on here. But I can relate to alot of what that guy was saying. That being said, I  think the listeners are "pitching in" just fine. When and if the phones are working, I find myself laughing at some of the non extremely racist callers across the nation.

Thank you Bama.  That was exactly what I was
going for. It wasn't some vulgar stab to say "look at me".  I was
merely trying to show some love to everyone else on the board who may
or may not feel the same way. I was trying to reach out and become more
of a part of things, not tell you how cool I am.  yes, I AM aware of people on the board being friends in the real world.  So, this really didn't apply to them.
