i stole from a church

<p>i should preface this by saying i was 6 at the time. my brother and i were going to a catholic school where the church&nbsp;was just across the parking lot.&nbsp;my brother was older and an alter boy at the time and he was also on good terms with most of the administration and faculty. the church kept its collection money in the school, my brother told me where it was and how to get it, and i took it. we split the money almost every cent of&nbsp;my share&nbsp;went to buy comic books and candy. they discovered our thievery but my brother took the&nbsp; whole rap said i only took&nbsp;hush money, and that i had no idea where it was coming from. he was suspended in school for the rest of the year then he was asked to leave. he took his punishment and i went scott free</p><p>but now everytime soemthing goes wrong in my life i think that this is Gods way of punishing me for what i did. right now my dad has prostate cancer and my mom is divorcing him and i just found out my girlfriend has been cheating on me&nbsp;and for some stupid idiotic reason i truly believe this is all punishment. that i am getting what i desrve. </p>

How about returning the money (plus some interest) to the box you stole it from?

Do you remember how much it was? Take that amount, add interest and inflation (figure about 8-10% per year) and give the money to a Catholic Charity of some sort. That should settle things with the Big Guy. <br />
