I'm going! I'm kinda scared driving into DC by myself to an unfamiliar
neighborhood but it will be worth it to see the show live. I just pray I won't be
forced to speak, especially on-air. I'm way too shy for that.

They said on the air yesterday that the shin-dig wasn't as big as they thought it was going to be (or were lead it to be), and had to scale back who they invited (they had planned to open the doors open) - I'm not sure, but it appears like only a few of the peeps who are going down there are people who weren't on-air (in some respect) from D.C.And also from the sound of it, you might consider yourself lucky you didn't get an e-mail from Earl!"NO EXCEPTIONS!"

I can understand that.  I can understand if they just don't have the space or the capacity to let people down there and watch the show live, etc.  Part of my frustration is that whomever is handling this behind the scenes just hasn't sent out any emails (that I know of) explaining the situation, or made a post here about it, etc.  The other half of my frustration is, how often are R&F going to be down here in D.C.?  Given how at least Fez seems to feel about this area, I'm going to guess not a great deal.  If watching the show live is out of the question, which is reasonable given the circumstances, it would at least be cool if they could meet a few fans for just like five minutes.  Hell, that'd be all I'd want.  Just to say hey, shake their hands, thank them for coming down and for giving so many years of great radio, including the time they were down here at WJFK.

Yes all of the invites have been sent out and unfortunately there is limited space for the show on Tuesday.  Who knows what the boys will be up for after the show and what there schedule is going to be like.  They may have meetings afterwards.

I am looking forward to seeing old friends tomorrow and finally meeting people who I have been talking to on the board.  WP I will be the big man sweating up a storm especially if it is in the parking lot tomorrow I think the temps will be in the upper 80's or lower 90's.  Hell I sweat in a freezer. As for the Mojopin he never shows up for anything so it would be cool if he could make it out tomorrow. I am taking the metro in tommow I am not sure what the parking situation is like.

You can actually see the XM studios from the New York Ave metro platform. There's a ton of construction going on in that area, so it'll be fine tomorrow during the day. XM has a parking lot behind the building, but I'm not sure they'll let you park there or anything.

Crap! What a time for PMs not to work! I coulda snagged a ride with Crazy Jen but
I can't PM her! I was just looking at maps and I'm scared to death. I know I'm
going to get lost. I'm directionally impaired--I don't know right from left or north
from south so driving in unknown territory is really a challenge. Attempting to
figure out metro would be even worse. I was looking forward to this but feel my
stomach churning thinking about the drive. I am such a girl when it comes to
driving in big cities.

I'd take the Metro if you don't want to drive down there. Park at Silver Spring, Wheaton or Glenmont. It's not a far metro ride from there. Where's crazy jen's myspace?

I'm so glad I went to the shindig today! It was great meeting Ron and Fez in
person, as well as Bobo, Perrynoid, Crazy Jen, Elfish, Wonderwoman, Jafter,
Kathleen from the Bronx, Pauly, Ogre and especially Mikeyboy who was kind
enough to scrounge up a chair for poor 'ol pregnant me! It did suck it was outside
in the hot sun but it was worth it. Earl and Dave were gracious, too. Great day!
