I just read on msnbc that local police, the NSA, Homeland Security, etc. are compiling the phone records of everyday normal citizens.  Not to mention the Supreme Court's ruling that police no longer have to knock before busting your door down.  It is amazing to me how the Constitution worked for 200+ years and as soon as George W. gets into office it's no longer a "living document" and must be amended every other week.

<p>Hell, the head of the CIA says the 4th amendment doesn't exist.&nbsp; The goal of this Admin is too run this country into the ground so they can completely reshape it into some&nbsp;fascist-corporatocracy.&nbsp; And they are acheiving their goal by distracting you with fear, or at least most Americans with fear.</p><p>Its kinda horrible.&nbsp; They just mention 9/11 and people in this country still shit their pants.&nbsp; Alot of countries do this tho'&nbsp; Most middle eastern gov't stay in power by giving the people someone/something to hate, keeps them busy not thinking about not having jobs, shit wages, and no healthcare.&nbsp; I think alot of people in this country are sick after 9/11, mentally ill really.&nbsp; They can't see past the fear.&nbsp; I can't make myself fear terrorism for the life of me.&nbsp; Its not gonna happen.&nbsp; I wish people would realize that they are more likely to be killed by a falling vending machine than a terrorist attack.</p><p>We have to fear our gov't and the corporations that run it.&nbsp; But no people should have have to fear their gov't... their gov't should fear them.</p><p>emPulse&nbsp;</p>

Dude, your first mistake was trusting MSNBC.&nbsp; Don't worry, amendments to the constitution are lobbied literally everyday and they never tread water (which we can thank allahbuddahchristnothing for).&nbsp; Point is, amendments are a big deal and if one happens in the near future it will seriously split the country apart, no matter what the content is about.
