Snoogans may just go on a rampage.

I just saw that the worst team in the league got rid of their coach to be coached by the worst GM in the league.

What the hell is going on with this franchise

Its like a repeat of what the bullets did in the early 90's

Huge payroll - no real talent

I don't follow the Knicks, but it seems like a funny show that a lot of people watch.

"Today begins the 2006-07 season for the Knicks, and I strongly believe we are on the right track to take major steps in our rebuilding process to achieve our goal of being one of the premier teams in the NBA."

Linky

Didnt we hear all that with Lenny Wilkens as head coach??

And then we heard it last year with Larry Brown as head coach ??

When do the Nets come to Brooklyn ?? I need a NY basketball team to root for.

Tomas is the George Bush of NBA Presidents... What do you think you will see first Democracy in Iraq or a championship banner hanging in the garden (that is not the Rangers)

Don Stugots
06-22-2006, 07:31 AM
at what point will the NBA step in and look into how Thomas is sabatoging this team? You had a good coach, give him one season and then fire him. you trade away your first round pick for a bag of cement. trade away any player who happens to be white regardless to the fact that they have talent. this team will never turn it around.

Looks like the knicks hit the Brown Note

It's official, I was right all along, and I can't believe we didnt see it happening.

James Dolan feels so guilty about fleecing all the cablevision customers out of so much money all these years, that he can't bring himself to keep it. Everytime he touches that money, he feels dirty.

So instead, he is tryin to put his mind and guilt at ease by wasting all this money and not getting ANY returns. So he could say look, I'm losing money too.

In terms of basketball, this hiring would be the quivalent of the IOC hiring Bud Selig to run their testing department. ISIAH THOMAS ONLY NEEDED 2 YEARS TO FOLD A LEAGUE THAT WAS AROUND FOR 30. HE ONLY NEEDED 2 MONTHS TO COMPLETELY BURRY THE KNICKS FOR 5 YEARS. And how do we reward that, GIVE HIM FULL CONTROL.

DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE

Fucking Peter Gammons knows more then Isiah Thomas, and I mean knows more about BASKETBALL

Snoogans
06-22-2006, 10:04 AM
Seriously. Look at Cablevision prices. As the Knicks have gotten deeper and deeper in a hole and lost more and more money, the prices have slowly gone up. WE ARE PAYING FOR THIS EMBARRASMENT

We been sayin that since they traded Ewing.

IF THEY JUST WOULDA LET EWING FINISH HIS LAST YEAR AND RETIRE A KNICKS LEGEND, NONE OF THESE PROBLEMS WOULD BE HERE

Snoogans
06-22-2006, 10:57 AM

Im so fuckin mad that I just started a new Live 06 franchise but before hand, I cut every player brough in by Isiah who is on the roster. After I did that, the knicks had 12 million in cap room and I only needed to sign 3 guys. How fuckin sad is that, its ALL ISIAH.

anyway a few quick trades and the addition of hot shot PG Shaun McClarty now have the knicks 5 million under the cap with a 92 team rating.

Crippler
06-22-2006, 10:58 AM
Are you saying Ewing put some kind of curse on the franchise? He was Jamaican, not Creole. You know you don't mess with those Creole women... They can put a root on your ass...then they'll bury your drawers in the yard so you can't leave the house!

Snoogans
06-22-2006, 11:01 AM
No, actually, i was saying the deal they made to get rid of ewing and his 18 mill i believe final year, they took on so many bad contracts and then just kept tryin to get out from under it since then and making it worse. If they woulda just bit the bullet and kept ewing they woulda had cap room almost every year. Though the Allen Houston contract didnt help things
DarkHippie
06-22-2006, 12:52 PM
They should just dump everyone and build the team around frye and robinson

Snoogans
06-22-2006, 01:03 PM
id be fine with that, at this point just let every contract expire and then you'll have a ton of money right as they hit their primes
06-22-2006, 01:05 PM

Just to clear something up

With no financial settlement reached, ESPN.com has learned that a
clause in Brown's contract designates NBA commissioner David Stern as
the arbitrator of any financial dispute between the sides, meaning the
final chapter of this drama has yet to play out.

Mike and the Dog have been saying all day bthat they have to pay him the 40 mil. Which is not accurate.

Snoogans
06-22-2006, 01:22 PM
it could be accurate though, cause david stern is so pissed off at how bad the knicks are fuckin up. If they were half decent, the league would be far more popular. He might just say they owe him the highest possible just to say like now stop fuckin around

Maybe the Knicks are trying to catch lightning in a bottle after seeing what happenned when Miami's GM fired the coach and took the team over himself.

Too bad Isiah is no Pat Riley.

Snoogans
06-22-2006, 02:30 PM
But see the Heat had a great team that just needed that extra push. The knicks are tryin to catch lightning in a bottle by making the guy who fucked up the whole team have more power over the whole team
OK, to all the people whovoted no, i cant jump my team alliance, can I now? Have a finally gone through enough where I can get a pass and start rooting for another team free of ridicule? I promise I wont pick Miami, even though Dwayne Wade is my favorite player
TheGameHHH
06-22-2006, 03:11 PM
Is it possible that the Knicks will actually be worse next season?

Snoogans
06-22-2006, 03:13 PM
no, its already certain. Even if they make the playoffs, they are still worse, cause they can never go anywhere. The object isnt to be just good enough to sell out the building
Snoogans
06-22-2006, 06:07 PM

he already got 2 real coaches. And most people forget, it wasnt all daisies with Scott Layden. This is like 8 years now they have been doin this shit, they got lucky in 99 to get to ride spreewell's back, and then they let him go and give all the cash to allen houston. They are just losers, and ownership will never change, they are just concerned with filling the garden. Thats it. Its fuckin sad.

And all the teams I like to watch I cant go to cause they are all good now and I would look bad. Fuck it, let's go Celtics. They suck, and at least I'm from up there. I got the Sox, so might as well go 2 from here, 2 from there. LETS GO CELTICS

This is absolutely insane!!! How can the NBA just sit by and watch one of it's large market franchises destroy itself?!??! Dolan is a joke, Thomas is a joke, The entire organization is a complete laughing stock! I've been a Knicks fan since the early 70's! I'd even settle for the team that went to the finals against San Antonio. At least there was character and heart on that club. If you ask me, the money has turned the NBA into a complete joke. You can have five guys on a team making 10 Million each, and they don't even win 40 games! This league is in the toilet! It's time to stick with the college game. At least those guys are playing for more than just a paycheck (well, most of 'em!)...
I just noticed this post. THEY DIDNT EVEN MAKE IT THE YEAR. He got an extention in December of this next season, then proceded to lose 10 straight games and ended up with the same record as the year before.
