Former intern Bitz (arguably the greatest R&F intern ever) and his band Alleged Bricks will be opening for The Daycare Swindlers on Saturday, July 1st at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC.  The 9:30 Club is located at 815 V Street, N.W. in DC.  Doors open at 7:00, the admission is $12, and the bill features 5 bands total.<a href="http://www.930.com/fs.php?x=1024&ba=IE&bv=6.0&bp=Win" target="_self">Here's the 9:30 Club website.</a>

I knew he was onto something last year when I saw someone wearing an "Alleged Bricks" t-shirt at a Nat's game. Should be a fun, fun show - can't wait to hold onto my socks.<img height="65" src="http://www.lloyddoblereffect.com/images/930.jpg" width="144" border="0" />The old Nightclub 9:30 was at 930 F St, NW - a total, nasty, stinky dive, but absolutely one of the funnest places to see everything from hardcore to hardcore. Last show I saw there was NIN back in 1991 - people just crammed in a broomcloset is how i remember it best. They moved a few years later - now considered one of the best places to see a show.

Hotsie Tottsie. I'm glad Bitz chose bands instead of moving to NYC for everyone's sake.I gave his DC 9:30 club show 7/1 a much deserved plug in MySpace Bulletins.He made us all laugh at his antics and when he was HYPNOTIZED freaking OUT...wow thanks for that reminder Ron B.

A.  I'm not sure why I bother, but you have it all wrong.  That was Benicio, Ogre and Tuddle who got dropped by the hot sauce.  By the time Bitz came around they were no longer using hot sauce because of that incident.B.  Every few months, it seems, I have to remind you that if you're going to insist on posting pics (like your bizarro martian lady pics above) that have absolutely nothing to do with your posts or the threads you are posting in, those pics must conform to sig guidelines (300X100 pixels, no larger than 40k).  Every time I tell you this, you comply for a while and then eventually go back to it.  This is your last warning.  Knock it off!

FYI,The Bricks are playing starting at 7:45pm. I hear they run a tight ship at this club, though I'll believe it when I experience it. Stick around for Supreme Commander, The Twats, The Goons, and The Daycare Swindlers. It's The Daycare Swindlers' reunion show, for poo's sake!

Way 2 go, Bitz, an excellent 1st outing in the "BIG TIME!!!"      Big ups to the core DC RnF FNL crew 4 representin'!     It's very cool to see Bitz on the verge of makin it in music!!! Great, great show! Thankfully Bobo and I weren't the oldest ones there (some parents of "The Twats" were grooving front and center, which cracked me up).ALLEGED BRICKS is the real fucking deal - tigher than nun - definately held their own with the likes of The Goons and Daycare Swindlers. And Bitz was truely in his element. The guitarest was also really cool. Awesome love for harDCore all around - even a Bad Brains cover thrown in for good measure. GET THAT CD! Not only do they rip off The Bay City Rollers' biggest hit, while singing about themselves, but how many punk cd's do you know of that have thanks to Ron & Fez, Giant Brian, J. Dubbs and Bobo in the back notes? A-L-L-E-G-E-D BRICKS!
