I just caught the first episode. I dig the cast they used and it looks like it might be an interesting show.

I saw it too - looks promising.

Missed the last 10 minutes though - did they reveal what was in Section 5?

I agree, it looks good. I really like the concept and it has good characters.

As far as section 5, we haven't seen in there yet.

That was section 5 I think. But they didn't show inside. The end had the Marshall and his hot daughter leave town, then at his office the DOD comes in and gives him a promotion. He's now the sheriff of Eureka.
I enjoyed it. It will have to get better to keep me hooked, however.
You gotta give it to SCI-FI. They are really coming to the table
with new shows. ECW included. I am really looking forward
to WHO WANTS TO BE A SUPERHERO? It looks interesting and it has
just the right amount of cheese.

I thought it was a good episode last night, although I was suprised to see the pyschologist killed the woman in the scenes from last week, which I guess I missed.

I thought the "smart" house, with its womanly attitude, was a nice touch. Locking him out because he didn't call that he was going to be late for dinner. HA!

Season finale was this week, I enjoyed the show so far. It's been renewed for another season.
We're now on the third season. Anyone watching?
Last night's "Groundhog Day" theme has been done before (Star Trek TNG had a good one too with "Cause And Effect") but I think Eureka pulled off a nice one with different aspects. Plus it looked like a main character's death... but I'm sure they'll find a way for that person to come back.
I've missed a lot of the first two seasons, but looking forward to catching up. This season so far has been very good.

I really didn't see the death coming and I had completely forgotten that they said someone was going to die in the teaser. Usually they do a lot of that type stuff where it's either going to work or the person is going to die and I'm happy that they actually killed someone off.

As much as I love this show, the season premiere has me worried for the direction that they're taking.

I loved it. Instead of the same old problem of the week storyline, which had been stretched thin, now they have a new town to deal with. I think it's an excellent way for a fresh start.

Eureka got renewed for a 5th season.
And it's gotten really good, especially this last episode with that twist at the end.
It's been a while since season one, but I think that Beverly was a "bad guy" in some way, right? (Didn't she die in the original timeline?) Plus, that got me thinking about the first season and the whole "artifact" storyline. That went nowhere didn't it?
But, the preview for this weeks episode also showed another character who will be showing up. Nice, I was wondering if he would.

Yea Beverly was some sort of traitor working for some shadow org.
I don't think she died, she just dissapeared in that vortex thingy.
And by the way..

This whole season is setting up the time travelers for a hell of a lot of heartbreak, because you know eventually they will find a way home, and they'll have to go back to the way they were, as they seem to all be getting use to their new lives now. It'll be tragic.

The only one who is pretty set is Carter.
He will be fine either way.

Eureka gets one extra episode to give us all closure (http://io9.com/5829838/eureka-gets-one-extra-episode-to-give-us-all-closure)
Eureka is currently airing the second half of its fourth season, with five episodes left including Monday's new episode. And the fifth season, which is just 13 episodes including a Christmas special, is already nearly done filming. When Syfy decided to pull the plug, Eureka was just about to start filming on the season five finale — so it was unlikely that the writers would have had time to retool that season finale to make it a proper series finale.
Nice. Doing it right.
