Has anyone else contacted congress about pending satellite radio legislation? I clicked a link and contacted my rep and senators. Got a reply from one of my senator's today. Pretty standard stuff but there were a a couple of sentences I find worrying.

"Advances in technology now offer consumers the ability to produce professional quality recordings. This poses the question of whether the companies have the right to transmit high-quality frequencies while also giving their customers the ability to digitally record this information on special devices for their personal enjoyment."

Does the music industry really think that satellite radio and some Innos will be their ruin? I'd say their ruin is more of a "shitty music" issue. I believe I'll send another email.

Their "ruin" has already happened, it will just take another three or four years to completely happen. Don't worry, s. radio will be fine.
