they are doing some sort of construction during the night right next to my apartment building. im going to go shot them and especially the people who hired them. they are there at midnight and 5am so it doesn't disrupt their precious business hours.

I've been having weird sleep patterns happening too.

I'll be falling asleep by 9PM and then I'm wide awake @ 2AM. Then at work I'm falling asleep again.

Maybe it's this warm weather in basically winter we're having?

Fuck it, run with insomnia and just take some time to do some personal things; exercise, sorting something out, drinking. Whatever. Just take advantage of the inability to sleep.

Febreeze

I deal with insomnia in spurts. I just got through a 4.5 hours sleep over 9 days. It's fucking brutal. I think it's genetic since my mom was a life long insomniac.

Ambien doesn't work for me at all. It knocks me out, but it usually only keeps me out for 30 minutes. Then I'm wide awake, but drowsy.

Unfortunately, one of the only things that works for me is illegal self-medication.

Is it a stress thing, are you perpetually thinking about something or worried about something. Is it like a pee shyness thing where if think about you can't do it?

K.C.

This wouldn't be related to a coke binge?

Cause that's what keeps me up...then when I finally do fall asleep, I wake up miles from home and it hurts to pee.

Glad you got some rest, Shelle! Unfortunately I had a gassy infant to deal
with all night so I got real choppy, crappy sleep. She didn't go to sleep until
12:30, then was up at 4:30, 6:00, 7:15 and 9:30. I finally gave up and got
up.

I didn't sleep for 48 hours last week, I took a shower/bath at 1 am and blacked out about 30 times, shaved my legs without remembering doing so, then forgot to wash the conditioner out of my hair.ÿ I look out my window every night to make sure my car is still there (I live in Newark) and saw that it was gone.ÿ I thought I was hallucinating, so went downstairs with my hair dripping all over the place, wearing a coat with nothing underneath, and realized it was actually gone.ÿ I called the police, who didn't show up for another hour and a half, looked like a crackhead shaking on the sidewalk, and finally passed out cold at 5:30 am.ÿ It was bad news.ÿ Now I get an average of 2 hours of sleep a night if I'm lucky.

Also, one night I started hallucinating while smoking a cigarette outside (after not sleeping 3 nights in a row).ÿ It looked like the van parked across the street was moving, but there was no one inside it.

Wow, I'm a mess.ÿ Haha

Oh, another story!

Monday night I did not sleep.ÿ I was painting all night, and started listening to O&A in the morning.ÿ The next thing I know, I woke up on my couch at 2 pm with a blanket over me.ÿ The scary thing is, I don't remember stopping painting and transferring myself from my work table to the couch.

Also, I sleep through anything, and sometimes when people wake me up, I talk to them and don't remember having these conversations that are relayed back to me later on.ÿ When I was younger, my brother used to play tricks on me because of this.ÿ I fell asleep on the floor with the remote in my hand.ÿ He switched the remote with a banana, woke me up, and told me to put the banana back in the kitchen and take off his shoes.ÿ I wasn't wearing shoes, but stared at my feet for a long time.ÿ He then told me to go out to the bus stop (mind you, this was at night) and if my mother hadn't been there, I would be standing across the street in the cold, with imaginary shoes on, and a banana in my hand.
