My nephew was in a bad accident on I-81 in West Virgina (about 5 miles north of the VA line) early Monday morning. A truck carrying diesel fuel wrecked. My nephew slid on the fuel and crashed into the truck. His airbag didn't deploy, and his eye went into the steering wheel. Even though people tried to get him to stay in his car, he got out anyway. It's a good thing he did, because 2 or 3 more cars slid on the same fuel, and slammed into his car, completely shoving it under the truck.

So... Yesterday, the doctor said he needs to have a plate put in under his eyeball. If not, it will drop. He gets the surgery on Friday. Here's where the lazy cop comes into the story. My brother needs to get the insurance info from the trucking company, but the cop STILL hasn't done the incident report! The department is being no help at all in contacting him. No messages on the cop's line have been returned. Now, in order to have the surgery done, my father has to front the cash for the operation. How can a cop be so inept in such a serious situation? I'm not anti-cop, but I'm definitely anti THAT cop!
