Common is a fucking awesome lyricist, arguably one of the best in all of hip hop. His live act kinda blows, but it's tough for hip hop to translate well live.

Common has always been a great MC (though the <em>Electric Circus</em> album...eeech) and he's one of Chicago's very own.&nbsp; I know a commercial is &quot;selling out,&quot; but I can't fault the dude for wanting to get paid.&nbsp; Credibility only gets you so much scratch.&nbsp; And shit, even his commercials are catchy.

I like that commercial. I love Common's last album, but yes talib is more "on the ball" at the moment. But that shit comes in phases with them.
