ERINMORAN - That's a very interesting question.

Certainly, a dildo that is not properly cleaned before being used again can cause bacterial infections. But bacteria are pretty hardy organisms.

As far as STD's, the ones that are viral in nature have a much harder time being passed - unless the reuse occurs in a relatively short time frame. For example if a woman with AIDS used a dildo then passed the dildo to another woman who uses it immediately it could transmit the virus. But the usage would have to occur pretty quickly. Outside of the human body, viruses do not have a very long lifespan. (I believe it ranges from a few hours to a few days, but don't recall offhand). And as lifelike as they make dildos nowdays, they still do not replicate the fertile (no pun intended) breeding grounds for viruses found in the body.
