I know that I'm still new here, but I just don't understand how this place works. Longtime members are banned, and the Mods seem to be on some kind of power trip. Calling them the staff and saying what a great job they do is sad. Is this a business? Is this some kind of corporation? It's the fucking internet, and it should be fun. Instead, there are a bunch of hall monitors telling people what to say and do, hall monitors that are social misfits, or Ron and Fez show groupies. I always thought this board was just for fun, and yet someone named Reilly who probably never had a date and never left her house tells me to back off on Paul O's woman. I say fuck you, go ahead and ban me, and while you are at it, drop the Twinkies and eat a salad, and go out and see the sun once in a while. Don't worry, after 10,000 posts in 6 month, this board will still be here when you get back. Alkey and Silera, you guys rock!

Although he's entitled to criticize people who appear on the show (the unwritten "if you put yourself out there rule...") As entertaining as board fights can be (seems the Moe/Spoon fight wins as funniest thread of the year) if a few people are allowed go around attacking everyone, the board turns to liquid shit. And you'll chase away people trying to use the site properly, and be left with thunderdome. Race to the bottom. Mods tell you to knock it off, just do it. Usually they know something you dont, its not a power trip. If you want a free for all, check out the O&A sites. R&F isn't that type of show. Everyone here isn't going to love each other, but we can be civil. With a healthy amount of ball busting thrown in. And Brujo, I'm not going to tell you to go anywhere. Most newbies take awhile to figure out what this place is about. If you can figure out how to play with others, you're welcome in the sandbox.

Contrary to what people think, the mods aren't all super-sexy robots...given that they're just people doing something in their spare time, their emotions can get the better of them or they're not going to read every single post or whatever...people make mistakes, and the staff here or at any other site isn't exempt from that.  Shit happens...that's life.  The staff here hasn't always made the right choice or will make mistakes down the line, but I think by and large, especially given my time "inside" seeing it go down, they do a damn good job considering it's something they do for free in what spare time they have.  Whenever people toss out the word "power" when attacking the staff, I have to always laugh.  It's a free message board revolving around a stupendously awesome but, let's face it, cult radio show...there is no "power" to be had if they even wanted it.

I have a neighbor whose teen son is into some kind of noise called mod bashing. I hear him blasting it from his laptop, and the so called posting cracks me up. Is it a gay thing? I never see him hanging with any chicks? Can comeone please tell me what's the story with this awful noise?
