It is on Spike Cable Network

http://www.afrosamurai.com/

I liked it alot, reminded me of the anime in kill bill. the dialogue is good and the art is bloody. starring Samuel L. Jackson, Ron Perlman & Kelly Hu

It could, but that's not really the point. The things it focuses on, it does well (violence, blood, dismemberment, all that good stuff). Sam Jackson is actually one of the things that takes me out of the show. His voice doesn't exactly fit the role.

I like this series a lot. That probably has a lot to do with me liking anime though. They say Sam Jackson "IS" afro samurai but i'm not so sure. He's definitley the voice of the sidekick though.

Oh damn!
I just finished this series tonight and I was rocked by it. What an awesome stylish anime series. It's only 5 epsiodes long but it's packed with great sword battles and tremendous coolness voiced by Sam Jackson.
I watched the whole thing in one sitting. It's a shame there is no more than these few short episodes. Action packed goodness.
Anyone who hasn't seen it and digs either violent anime or great fast sword action needs to check out the DVD set of this thing.
