View Full Version : If this is not a bit?

If this is not a bit, and ESD is truly off the show then I ask the following: ESD's inability to show up today and do board gossep was for health reasons. Now I don't know about you, but if I was choked out by Master Po and then had hot sauce poured on my naughty bits, I might be unable to post the next day. If Ron can't see that this kid went above and beyond to impress Jay Moore for the good of Ron's ego, then a state of tyranny exists on the Ron and Fez show.

I am from the Philadelphia area, the cradle of liberty. 200 some odd years ago men risked their lives, honor and fortunes in the face of such tyranny and prevailed. Ron should recognize such tyranny when he sees it as someone who grew up chewing on the same Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Sixers agony as me. But no, Ron has become King George himself. Making fools dance like jesters to impress his quasi-celeb friend, Jay Moore, of Verona. But Jay is not a Shakespearian Gentleman from Verona, but the kind of guy that we all grew up with. The guy who can make the weaker among us make fools of themselves to impress the cool guys.

I for one, am really disappointed in Mr. B. I have been a loyal listener. I have lost hours of time that I should have spent working waiting for nuggets of hilariousness from Ron Bennington. I thought he was the type of stand up guy that would throw a savage beat down on bullies, only to see that when a two bit celeb shows up in the studio he becomes one.

Gut check time Mr. B. Look in the mirror like Charlie Sheen in Wall Street and ask yourself. . . "WHO AM I"

if it's not the bit you think it is, it's another bit.

maybe claire and dave really did want to move, maybe she got a job in a museum on san diego, and rather than just give two weeks notice and have a lame party, dave ROCKED IT OUT WITH HOT PEPPERS IN HIS ASS.

think about that.

Thats pretty good...

I can't see him leaving, maybe I just don't want to see him leave. I keep telling myself this is a bit, it just has to be. The way Ron and Fez were bantering before the final vote came in I thought for sure there was going to be some payoff and hillarity would ensue.

Hillarity never came but a great deal of joy sure did when I heard he was staying. The biggest reason I can see it being a bit is because the vote came in to keep him until that guy called in and f'd it all up. I think it was then Ron seen an opportunity to run even more with the but and jumped at it.

Maybe it's just me but a lot of the bits lately have to do with drama in the studio.... Earls Mr. Perfect streak....Dave Vs Earl.....Dave voted off.

Dave vs. Earl is because Earl tows the corporate line too closely and Dave doesn't see the line at all. Dave voted off may or may not be a bit, but unless someone bugged Ron's apartment, we'll find out on Monday. My 2 cents are that if he is off, bring back Al Dukes. If you never heard him, he is radio gold on RnF.

More George Foreman Chicken

If the guy had not called up and mentioned the 2 vote thing (I forgot who is was, but I hate him now) then the bit wuld have ended with the vote. Since that got pointed out, Ron went with a new end to the bit. It would not be funny if he didn't go with it. That being said, I think Dave will be back on both shows if he wants to be. I mean really, he would have to officially quit anyway right? I don't think a caller vote counts as 2 weeks notice to your boss.

Why the hell didn't Dave come in? I know he's a bit burned, but I say throw on some ointment and come in anyway.

I'll be really, really pissed off if Dave is gone. He brought so much energy to the show. Without ESD, before long you'll find yourself with Earl and Bronx Johnny mumbling one word an hour, Fez off crying somewhere, and Ron sitting there by himself talking once again about what a movie/food/NYC/music snob he is.

So many times, at least once in two weeks, you'll hear "Dave, come in and talk about this" and it's pretty much a desperate plea for any sort of pulse. Without Dave I don't think the show can reliably sustain three hours of programming. People just run out of things to say.

AND, he's really funny.

Ordinarily I'd think this was just a bit- R&F have seen enough "loser leaves the company" wrestling matches to know what the loopholes are- but I'm worried that the result of Dave leaving XM and staying at FM was exactly what the show needed to have happen. Maybe Dave had to take a day job or maybe he didn't have the energy for a nine-hour shift. In which case I REALLY wish he would have stayed at XM instead.

Dave's just going on vacation this week, and the bit is, is he gone????

The big problem I have is at the end of the hot sauce bit, Ron turned total pussy and kept saying it Jay's idea, Jay poured the sauce down ESD's pants, blah blah blah. He must've said it 3 or 4 times. What happened to being a stand up guy and not saying shit? All that stuff about "Fez would talk to the 911 operator" must've been misdirected.
