First let me say this is not directed to ANYONE on this board..

I have a situation at work....there's this guy there that literally no one likes.....but he is a money maker....I have to spend the better part of my day today with him working on one account that can be very lucrative.....But I dread going in today just cause I have to be with him....his constant digs and innuendo drive me up the wall.....but I have to play nice with him..

Any advice on how I can get through this day would be greatly appreciated!!!!

While you're working with him just keeping going to your "Happy Place" and think about how good it will be when you end the meeting and don't have to deal with him. That's the way I get through a lot of boring meetings with my boss.

Of you could just imagine yourself driving a steak knife into his chest and then using a chain saw to dismember the body....

Don't let his attitude drag down the quality of your work. Look at getting this account done as a challenge. You'll look good for being able to put up with the office jerk and still getting the job done.

You know what Reesh, I say fuck him!

Don't go to your happy place, Make the prick come to yours. You must be comfortable in your job, right? You feel like you belong there?

If you are comfortable and you feel like you belong then there is no one who should take you out of that area. Kevin does what Kevin has to do in order to feel comfortable and happy in his work environment because ultimately, that is how Kevin is most productive.

If he is a dick and is getting on your nerves pull the guy aside and tell him he is overstepping. Let him know he is making EVERYONE around him uncomfortable and his actions have to change.

There is no one who will make me feel uncomfortable at my work and I assume it is the same for you. No one should have to go to work and feel out of place.

So if Kevin has to mutate into Reeshy for 45 seconds and let this guy know he's going too far then do it.

I handled today quite well.....the guy I was working with is one of our lawyers who draw up the contracts....I really have nothing to do with that.....I'm just an analyst......I already a list prepared about what the client needed (Security-wise).....left it on his desk and told him to call me if he had any questions....he called me once.....and I wasn't even in the office.....not a bad day!!!!

I got the same kinda situation and here's what I'm doing. I ordered a calendar recently and noticed they had the BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN calendars on sale. I ordered one of those as well. I MUST STATE that I have nothing against gays, their lifestyles, or the movie BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN but this asshole I work under is the type that does BIGTIME.

I'll bide my time waiting for him to go on vacation and when he returns he'll wonder why people keep asking him the date...while snickering. He'll wonder till he sees the calendar that is.
