That is twice East Side dave has hung up on me. Hey, he is the producer and or call screener. If the call sucks I know it is just his job to shuck my call, but it just hurts you know. Maybe someday my call will be worthy. SIGH!

Are you telling him you're calling from KY? If so, that may be the reason. Let the NY/NJ callers have their time to call in and save your calls for the national XM show.

I got hung up on too but it wasn't dave who answered, it was a voice I didn't recognize. That was the only time I even got through. Every other time it has been busy for 10 min and I give up because by then my comment is irrelevant. Must be nice to have the Mikeyboy/HappyTypingGirl/etc. line where you can get right through. (I'm assuming they have that).

Still I am sad.

I called once, around six months ago. Bronx Johnny put me through but I hung up when the conversation passed me by. (I guess that's what you're supposed to do?)

Plus, it didn't help that I was shaking and short of breath like a little girl about to meet the Beatles. What an absolute douchebag I am. One of these days I'll be man enough to actually call a radio show. One day.

Well you see PopPop, Dave is a frequent visitor of this board. Mostly around the hours of 3-5 am EST and he is well aware of who the members are and who is on newbie probation.

Let me ask you this Pop; Do you actually feel that your comments would have brought something to the show and they totally disrespected you by hanging up?

or

Are you more upset with the fact that you were rejected?

I'd have to say the ratio of getting hung up on/ actually getting on is PROBABLY around the 50/1 area.

Don't fret the small stuff angel, you'll get on eventually.

Remember, quitters never win... Keep a smile on your face and your finger on the dial.

There are times I've been hung up on by Dave and been mad about it but he generally knows if your call will be picked up. Id rather be hung up and try again with something else, then put on hold and have Ron hang up when he realizes you have nothing.

I just assumed since every time their name is mentioned they get right through and I get a busy signal. The problem is I don't call in as LouisianaTexan, I use my name...so should I change my screenname to be consistant...or...should I just change my name?

i dont call in for 2 reasons

1. i probably will be nervous and make an ass of myself

2. i dont want to be the idoit who says sumthing unfunny, unrelated, wreak the flow of the show or just piss ron off

i rather listen to good callers who know wat they are saying such as board members, then me suttering and saying the stupidest un funny thing

since i started listening to the show again, first day on XM, ive called 5 times and gotten through all five. in all cases i waited no more than 2 minutes on hold and ive never once used my board name. i also called a handful of times back in the WNEW days and always got right through, i guess ive just been lucky and on-topic.

I had THE greatest line today when they were talking about Fez and his Razzy kafluffle. I couldn't get through so I'm going to try again during the replay tonight.

With any luck....

Sorta like Gail-O- outside the clinic? Sitting here in my shame at being rejected. You know I had hoped that my comments would bring something to the show. That is why I tried. Maybe it was not Dave but it sure sounded like him. It is always a sad thing to be not good enough. Life goes on
