Dave actually can be quite funny when he's not being an asshole, which is unfortunately 90% of the time. ESD is a fucking middle-school retard. He has the temper of a fucking waterhead and he's pushing 30 years old. When he goes off on Earl he loses all credibility - he goes after him like a schoolyard bully, and it's just gay. I don't even like Earl, and it still pisses me off, it's so gay! i think board gossip has run its course.  how many times can we hear about HTG eating her breakfast??  Dave should stay!!!!  he needs to wear the kilt everyday, maybe even buy a few new ones so that he can rotate them.  Last week he was on fire all week outside of Board Gossip.  He has improved alot since the summer and needs to get more involved with the producing duties.   DAVE FAN SINCE DAY#2!!!!!!!!!!!!!  keep it up dave!!!!

How can anyone NOT see this is a bit.Dave was leaving the show anyway, what reason we may never know, and honestly it probably wasn't terribly interesting. They turned it into some pretty good radio, though.I was initiallly happy to think of Dave being gone, but now, in retrospect, in his own retard way, he came up with some horribly entertaining shit. Remember him saying he'd cut his fuckin hand off for 100 grand? That shit alone is hilarious. Eating raw chicken? Pissing himself drunk? The dude was a car wreck. I couldn't stand him, but he made a great cowbell backstop.

First off, I've listened to R&F since the mid 80's back in Florida. I even went to several of their live gigs and they were the biggest thing in radio in Central Florida. I'm thrilled to death that they're on XM so I can listen to them again.  I haven't been able to listen to them since I left Florida roughly 7 years ago or so. Problem is, it's getting to where I can't listen to them again because of Eastside Dave.  I was so glad when Dave was "fired" but this Midnight Rider thing is so irritating it's got me listening to other stations. I record the previous day's show at night so I can listen to them at work and even bought a new Inno because my MyFI started having recording issues.  Now I feel like I totally wasted the money because I hate Dave so much I can hardly listen to R&F.  I really thought that Ron knew how much the listeners hated him and really fired him. I registered on this site just to bitch about this.   Dave, you suck! Ron & Fez, please listen to your listeners and get rid of him!

So I get up and walk around to my kitchen, it's getting worse. I walk into my bathroom and just make it! I threw up in my toilet... while standing up! A feat of epic proportions if I may say so myself. I got less splatter on the seat than I would have if I were taking a pee.... My vomit is pure liquid because I had nothing to eat all day. I just had a litre of Cola and that was less than enjoyable to throw up than it was to sip down, It even came out my nose! Well for the next 4 hours I was dry heaving..... and violently! I couldn't keep liquids down and I didn't want to feed the beast so to speak, therefore I didn't drink anything...sure it would have made the vomitting more 'enjoyable' but it also would have increased the frequency.Would you believe that I actually ate a piece of gum to rid myself of the vomit taste and ended up regurgitating the saliva I swallowed from the gum juice?!Well It's 6:17 my time, I made some juice and all has been well for about 20 minutes....I couldn't sleep any longer so I sit here... with you... violently shivering.I'm cold, have to poo and think I am suffering from a slight case of dehydration......I need a hug.

Ron never lets things stay the same too long. If you hate Dave so much, I would suggest that you use the channel select button on your Inno and find aonther channel for a while. Come back later and maybe the show will be more to your liking.

cptsnappy, If you're listening to shows you recorded, it shouldn't be too difficult to fast-forward through 90% of the ESD.  He tends to contribute in blocks.  "Dave, come in here" would be a good cue for you.Two other observations:1. Does this sort of backseat-driving plague other radio shows?  I've never been a big enough fan of anyone else to get involved in the "fan community" thing, but I can't imagine people sitting around and whining about Dan Patrick spending too much time on hockey scores.  I guess it just shows how tenaciously people hang off every word that the buddays (and the buddays' buddays) utter from 12-3.2. Why do so many people on this board preface their comments by saying how long they've been listening?  You don't listen to a new album and say "Now, I've been into rock music since I was 13, and this music stinks."  If you think it stinks, you think it stinks.  Whether you'd heard of Bennington in 1987 or not ought to be irrelevant; your point either stands on its own or it doesn't.  Maybe as an XM listener I'm a little over-sensitive to this, but it feels sometimes like the WNEW people act like this is *their* show that they're kind enough to share with the rest of us.  I'm only on Year 2 of R&F listenership but I listen regularly and I feel like I "get" the show.  And when I read someone saying "I've been listening since 'NEW and I think..." it seems like the unwritten flip side to that is "if you're a newbie your opinion doesn't matter", and that's irritating.  And that's all.  Tantrum over.  Serenity now!

Ramrod,I discovered a "new" technique to alleviate the dry heaves over the holiday break.  Maybe Dr. ReverseFP can ease your pain a little bit.  First, I learned the magic of chugging water right before you vomit.  It all just comes right back up again but it's a marvelous lubricant.  Second, I find that when your stomach is doing that spasming thing when you're locked in the dry heave, it helps tremendously to make yourself cough.  It breaks the spasm right up.  Happy vomiting!

I think its funny that you would take Dave so personally. There are times when he irratates me too. So I change the channel. I dont like listening to some of the stuff that O&A do too. So I change the channel. But bottom line I'm a fan so I cant deny myself the comedy genius that is Ron&Fez.

I'm also a listener dating back to the Ron & Ron years, but yet I'm a big fan of Dave as well as the Midnight Rider.  If you were a longtime fan, then you'd know that this isn't the first time they've used a wrestling type gimmick with their show. About 11 or 12 years ago, they were promoting a wrestling organization with "Lightning" Lou Perez. Ronnie B. was playing the heel and Ronnie D. played face. Soon after, a man in a mask suddenly started appearing at live gigs wearing a mask and a shirt that that read "I am Ron Diaz." He would do heelish type things. Everyone knew it was Curtain Boy, yet the gimmick played on and when Diaz returned from his "vacation" he would consistently deny all accusations that he was the man in the mask. This went on for a while and made for great radio.I don't see how a fan from back then would praise the Florida show, but yet hate on things they do now. Unless you're trying to be an elitist who can say "I've known about Ron and Fez longer than anyone." I have never come across that way and continue to listen to the shows. They were my favorites back then and this reincarnation they have now continues to be my favorite.

First off, I didn't run off in anonymity. I'm fully aware of Ron's comic genius, and I'm a big follower of him and Fez. I just for the life of me have never seen any comedy in Dave. Well, the dog fucker thing was funny, as is the cowbell, but Dave himself is just not funny to me. I agree with what the other poster said though, no bit lasts too long. I was surfing the net listening to a re-run to R&F online and the 'rider was on and I couldn't resist registering just to bitch about Dave. I remember when Paul-O played a much bigger part on R&R, as well as Fast Eddie, and Billy the phone phreak was pretty universally hated as well. His ineptitude was what finally got me to liking him. Maybe Ron will start busting on Dave more and Dave will start getting pissed off like Paul-O, Billy, Fast Eddie, etc. did back in the day. I won't remain anonymous on the board and intend to contribute in the future, I just got so pissed off at the 'rider so early in the morning. It was really early and I just couldn't take him at the time. So, forgive me board, I still am not crazy about him but I will try to remain open minded and put my faith in Ron that he's got something in store for Dave that may make me like him. I also didn't mean to come off as an elitist either, I simply mentioned the old days to let you guys know that I'm not a newbie to R&F and their type of comedy, that's all.  Hey, for what it's worth, I also know a guy who used to work with Fez when he worked at Ferman Oldsmobile near downtown Tampa when he was detailing cars/lot lizard.

The first person I've seen from the same town as me (Normal and Bloomington are essentially the same town) and this is how you introduce yourself.  Just a word of advice nobody would really care if you said you don't like dave but you came off like your expecting Ron and Fez to fire him because you don't like him.  From how long you say you've been listening you have to know that Ron and Fez run their show how they want to and aren't going to change for anybody.  Stick around the board and post about what you like about the show but don't make any more threads like this if you expect to make any friends.

I love Dave but the Rider voice is a bit rough on the ears at times.  I wont change the channel but I think its time to finally end the bit.  Stalker patty however makes me change the channel asap.  I couldnt stand her back in the WNEW days and I definitly cant stand her now. Its makes me wanna flush my XM radio down the toilet, buy a Sirius and fuck my mother....  OK maybe not, but she's fucking awful.

It wasn't bad enough that frikkin East Side Dave played second mike while Fez was out. But even once Fez was back we still had to listen to Dave for the erntire show. Enough already! Even on Fez Day Dave is still tryin to occupy the show and make it avbout himself. The show has turned into the DAVE SHOW for the last 2 weeks.....Enough already! Ask him one simple question and he just stays on mike for the remainder of the show. Enough already! If Dave were busy being a PRODUCER of the show as he takes so much pride in, and not constantly trying to be(come) an on-air personality, maybe he'd have time to spend teaching the interns something. Enough already!  Dave....stay off the damn mike! Enough already. NEVER ENOUGH DAVE!! Also, think about this for a minute. Fez was very sick for a few days, and even though he is back, I am sure he is still not 100%. It is not like a normal job where you can sulk at a desk, he has to talk for 6 hours per day. I am sure dave is just helping out on air to keep fez from over-exurting himself.

Well thats just a stupid suggestion. I still love O&A. And I still love Ron & Fez. It's Dave that I hate. And I can even tolerate him in small doses, just not when he takes up the whol damn show. He claimed the other day not to have enuff time to teach the interns anything. My point is he would have time if he weren't on mike as much as he is. So you can do the second half of that expression.
