And this was just not appropriate."</p> <p>Fierstein said the administration learned of the drawings at the Pearls Hawthorne school when a parent complained.</p> <p>At least one parent said he did not believe the material was inappropriate.</p> <p>"This is biology, it's anatomy, it's human sexuality," said Jon Klibonoff, who has a child at the school but not in the class. They're aware of it on one level or another."</p><p><a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070127/ap_on_re_us/anatomy_lesson">http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070127/ap_on_re_us/anatomy_lesson</a> </p><p><strong>so this is what it's come down to.. can't even teach anatomy in a health class. </strong></p><p><strong>now, in college, i took human sexuality, and the professor had us shout out slang terms for male and female anatomy, and sex. i'd never heard "murder that pussy" before that day. </strong></p>

This teacher was just explaining how the body works. I don't see what's so wrong with that. Besides, the kids have already been scratching pictures of dicks and pussys into their desks for years.

Health class was the most uncomfortable class ever. Moreso at a Catholic school.

<p>I can understand teaching the class and using books, but why would you have drawings on the blackboard? It's funny when it's done as a joke, but for teaching, I don't get it. There are plenty of pictures and diagrams in the textbooks.</p><p>And by NO Means am I uptight or a prude...</p>

My guess is that the point of the exercise was to get kids over the uneasiness of discussing sex in a classroom setting. We're really going backward as a society.

If only he had known he would be fired, he could have just gone for the gusto- whipped it out, and had all the girls examine it first-hand.
