I used to get rooms at the Crowne Plaza by the UN all the time.&nbsp; You can get one for under $200 (in fact, I checked at it is $159 for that night).&nbsp; It's a very nice hotel for the price.

&nbsp;I was going to say something about this earlier. It would be different if the event were a board event, but it's not. It's a show event. There could easily be people going that have never been on any message board at all. If I'm not mistaken, there were at least a few people who signed up to ronfez.net specifically to get tickets, and may never post again, so it's not really fair to expect longtime board members to have preference.

One positive thing is that it appears not many have actually received tickets yet. I fear that there were&nbsp; an enormous number of requests, and only a limited number of tickets. When I read some of the posters on this thread who have over&nbsp;1000 posts and have been members longer than me, and have been overlooked, I don't feel like such a douche bag, and neither should they.&nbsp;Why not schedule these happenings at venues big enough for all of us? They should simulcast the show in DC, and have a DC shindig for all of us that are left&nbsp;out. I have a room ready at the plaza just in case they throw me a bone. If&nbsp;not invited, let us know so we can scratch the train tickets and hotel reservations before it's too late. &nbsp;&nbsp;

I sent the e-mail out last night to the people from my list who will be on a list at the door.&nbsp; I'm told that the rest of the people on my list (e-mail requests that came&nbsp;to me&nbsp;before Wednesday morning of last week) will be receiving physical tickets that will go out today if they haven't gone out previously.&nbsp; JUST IN CASE, I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE FROM MY LIST WHO HASN'T HEARD ANYTHING TO CHECK YOUR BULK E-MAIL FOLDERS TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU DIDN'T GET AN E-MAIL FROM ME LAST NIGHT.&nbsp; I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that everyone on my list is taken care of.
