What are you doing for Valentines Day?  What gift have you got ready for your honey? Last week there was a sale I saw on Yahoo from 1800 Flowers for but one dozen roses, get one free and a vase for $38.00 that I ordered and am going to have shipped and delivered at her work this week.  <img src="http://www.mtholyoke.edu/lits/library/arch/exhpro/exhibits/valentines/heart.jpg" border="0" width="350" height="364" />

Proflowers.com will be dropping off regina's 18 long stems this morning.  i always send them early, she gets to enjoy them longer.  Dinner at our favorite sushi place on wednesday night and a gift card for woodbury commons.

I am engaged now, but I have almost always been in a relationship on valentine's day.  I have to say that I think Valentine's day is the worst.  Don't get me wrong, I love the cutesy hearts and a chance to wear pink, but for a romantic holiday I hate it.  My valentine's day prep is usually baking a ton of heart shaped sugar cookies, icing them, putting them in a box with a hello kitty elementary school style valentine and mailing them to friends, but this year I was lazy and didn't prepare so I can't make 'em.  The man piece and I are doing the same thing we've done every year for the last 3 years: nothing.  Neither one of us can stand the day.  When I told him about "Sweetest Day" as the Valentine's day convo came up this year he was almost offended.  We laughed.

I don't like Valentine's Day but im not letting it stop me from being tremendously girly.I'm making baked ziti and strawberry shortcake for dinner. As far as gifts, probably not. Unless i can find "The Wild One" at Best Buy, then maybe.

Myself and Boy #1 will be renting a funny movie and having cocktails at my place.  Valentines is a silly holiday.... virtually meaningless.  But it is still nice to have someone to spend it with... and get kisses too!  lol..... *gay*

future mrs. sheepy came home this weekend and we went to dinner.  i had chicken, she had some sort of lettuce thingy we then went for a quick walk along the brooklyn heights promenade.  She hates valentines day, and me so nothing will be happening that day

I'm definitely part of the "Valentine's Day is lame" posse.  I always prefer to be shown love when Hallmark doesn't instruct or guilt my honey pie into doing so. And I must say he does a pretty damn good job. Although this year he had the idea of finally getting the tattoos we've talked about for years. So I think for the first time I'm down with using V Day as an excuse to waste some scratch. Who am I kidding? I love any excuse to spend, spend, spend!

I am not big into "hollidays" created so companies can make money.  I was going to get something from 1800flowers.com for my wife to support the buddies but couldn't handle the shipping costing 1/3 the price of the gift.  Luckily my wife understands.  She knwsnows I love her, plus I have 50+ rose bushes in the yard, so she gets flowers all spring and fall.

I had ordered the flowers to come tomorrow at her work, but she didnt go to work today because she had a very bad tooth ache over the weekend.  She had two teeth taken out today.  I doubt she will make it to work tomorrow.  I called 1800 Flowers, they said the order is already in transit and they cant stop it, and they will send another bunch on Thursday (for free).  Now, I am worried that she will come in on Thursday and see the two bunhes of flowers and think I am a nut jub.  Should I tell her?  She might go back to work on Wednesday and find the flowers from Tuesday and then get the second bunch on Thursday!  What would you do?  Would you tell her?  Would you let her find the flowers on Wed and then not say anything about Thursdays?

I got her flowers and chocolates. I also went and got 2 bottles of wine. I went to her fav bakery and got her fav desert. I am cooking a roast beef and some mashed and baked potato cheddar and parm.I took her to Key west for Valentine day gift last week so I think I did a good job here.

Nothing major tonight.  We've both been extremely swamped, so we didn't get a chance to put anything together.  We'll be in Maryland this weekend, so we'll leave the kids with the grandparents and get a nice dinner somewhere on Saturday.

Our favorite vineyard back when we were dating burned to the ground in 1997, never to re-appear- the Company bought some vines in Chile and moved there from the North Coast of Cali. I tracked down a 1994 vintage bottle of this wine and am having it delivered today. The punchline is that it was a $10 bottle back in the mid-90's. So, I paid $60 for a $10 bottle of wine that is thirteen years old- hopefully we can use it as salad dressing, but it's the thought that counts, right?

Would you let her find the flowers on Wed and then not say anything about Thursdays? don't tell her, it's a nice surprise (or two) either way.  you can explain after the fact when/if she has questions.  first time i ordered from proflowers (like 5 years ago) they delivered twice by mistake.  even tho' it's their error (and i was up front about it) it still makes the gal feel nice.

I got my wife a dozen tulips (her favorite flower), a gift certificate to a spa, and we had planned on going to Bobby Van's Steakhouse for dinner.  Unfortunately, our nanny cancelled babysitting tonight due to the weather, so we'll have to do dinner another night.
