<p>I can't believe the kind of morons that say crap to the FCC.</p><h2><a href="http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2007/0305072fcc1.html?link=rssfeed">"Gay" Snickers spot and Prince's phallic guitar top beefs to FCC</a></h2><p><em>Another purportedly offended viewer was concerned that the halftime show would have an unfortunate lasting effect on his son, who "hoped to be a quarterback and now he will turn out gay...Thanks CBS for turning my son GAY."</em></p><p>It was only 150 people who complained, but this is the kind of crap that is ruining all forms of entertainment.</p>

Ok, now people are getting offended by musical instruments. I wonder how many of those complaints showed up after the news started refering to it as a phalice. How many millions of people watched the Super Bowl? 150 complaints sounds very low. Especially if the majority of those 150 belong to groups that were going to call and complain no matter what.

<p>I read the letters to the FCC on smokinggun. Some of them were definatly goofs. Especially the one about the sheet in front of prince being covered in cum stains. Or the person who got a little to graphic describing the mechanics tongues intertwining. Pretty funny crap.</p><p> </p>

<p>A lot of these people are just red-state yahoos, OR they are part of Brent Bozell's or Jack Thompson's people. They send out media alerts with pre-printed complaints, for others to send in, even if they haven't seen the objectionable material.</p><p> </p><p>Surprisingly, Donohoe has been very quiet lately.</p><p> </p>

"Gentlemen, we got 20 calls about the David Hyde-Pierce incident. And as you know, one call equals a billion people, which means 20 billion people were offended by this. Needless to say, something must be done."
