Anyone else sick?

<p>I've been sick as a dog since Saturday night.&nbsp; I was at the beach with my chick, and Sat night I started puking and everything and we thought it was a viral thing.&nbsp; Since then I've been feverish, achey, sore throat, coughing violently, and blowing my nose constantly.&nbsp; It sucks!&nbsp; I got a strep test yesterday and it was negative, but the doc told me since it's viral I can't even take any antibiotics, I just have to ride it out.</p><p>Anyone else got the bug?</p>

<p>Just about everyone in my office has had some form of a cold for the past few weeks.&nbsp; I have it now, but not nearly as severely as some of the people around here have.&nbsp; I just have cold symptoms with a scratchy throat, stuffiness and slightly run down feeling.&nbsp; The most severe symptoms kept my officemate out for like a week straight with double eye infections, severe cold to almost the point of flu and inner ear infections.</p><p>I am getting off lucky so far.</p>

I've had identical symptoms for about as long. The crazy thing is at work, in the food & beverage industry, they absolutely hate it when you take sick time off--but then they tell you how unsafe it is to be sick around food. You can't win.

Felt bad for a couple days early to middle part of last week. Not bad enough to stay home from work, but enough to not want to do any physical activity. I knew something was&nbsp;up because I had slept&nbsp;for 10 hours the previous Friday and Saturday nights&nbsp;plus took naps. It was probably the onset of a cold. I doubled-down on the vitamin C and it was long gone by the end of the week. Hate to hear everyone else is feeling like crap.

it began last tuesday with my infant son (patient zero) vomiting until sunday

thursday night, my wife started and friday morning it was my turn

friday was not fun with the three sick as sh*t, my in-laws came by and helped and they they were rewarded on saturday nite with the bug

now my wife is starting with a sinus infection and general cold, and i got my flu shot today

I think I might be coming down with something. My throat started feeling funny last night and it's been like that on and off all day. My legs ache a bit and my nose burns a little. I had a zinc lozenger and some tea and it hasn't gotten any worse. I had my flu shot so I know it's not that. I'm also walking around with a nice size bruise on my thigh from banging it into a bed post. :sad:

Possibly. These things tend to go around quickly, especially if you work with people who have kids. Children are filthy critters.

Wash your hands every chance you get. Regular soap and water works just as well as the disgusting anti-bacterial stuff with triclosan. Just wash your hands under the hottest water you can tolerate for 30 seconds, which is about as long as it would take you to sing the alphabet or "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."
