I spend a portion of this past weekend there, and just found it to be a really boring place. Maybe spending so much time in NYC has gotten me jaded.

Philly has some charm to it, but it's nowhere near my Top 10 favorite cities to visit. NYC, Phoenix, DC, Orlando.

Well, I was in Central Philly and in heels... I wasn't goin far ((within walking distance of the hotel)) although I found it more fun to hang in the hotel room with a super hot dude.

But I didn't have sex.

So I blame it on Philadelphia.

ive been in philly as many times as i have been in nyc. though philly doesn't compare to ny (but really what city does) i thought it was a very cool city and had a good time every time i went. not trying to take a dig at nyc residents, but you have to take a step away from new york and not compare every city you go to, to nyc. each city has its own thing to offer.

I kinda did the same thing with Chicago when I went...I had a good time but it wasnt NY. But I still liked it.
I wanna go to Philly with a clean slate. I am staying at the Lowes hotel- I heard was really nice and is right across from he hard rock there. Needless to say I will be faced on the corporate card and posting late those nights..ha ha ha

Wow... I am not liking the Philadelphia bashing!!

Look folks, of course it doesn't compare to NYC. NYC is bigger! There's more to do... but that doesn't make it any less fun becasue you had a bad experience. You just have to look around... know where to go.

Of course I am biased being born and raised there, but I love Philly and if you are going and need some tips of what to do, what to see, let me know and I'll be glad to offer some tips.

Oh, and it's not Philly's fault if you didn't get laid. That's your fault.

I live right outside of Philly and have to say, I actually like it better than New York. Its probably because I know everywhere to go in philly and its not full of tourists from EVERYWHERE, god thats annoying. I was up at NYU friday night for a show its not bad there but thats because it reminded me a little of OLDE CITY in Philly!

Believe or not one of my favorite east coast cities is Baltimore!

Yes it does my friend.

Cheesesteaks from Jim's.

One of the things I love about Philly, is bring any racist asshat you know down to a little place called Kensington, and dare that person to ever act like their race is any better than any other race.

Philly is a cool place to go, but you have to know where to go. Also, if you are into history and culture Philadelphia is right up there. The new Constitution Center, Independence Hall, the Philly Art Museum, playhouse row, etc. There are also a lot of great bars.

Of course I know a lot more about Philly than NYC, but you shouldn't slam Philly because you didn't call me first

Charlotte, NC is another GREAT city to hang out in. Its a very young city with excellent night life.

philly is rough, last time i was there I was bruised and battered and I couldn't tell
what I felt, I was unrecognizable to myself. Saw my reflection in a window I didn't know
my own face. I walked the avenue till my legs felt like stone, I heard the voices of friends vanished and gone. At night I could hear the blood in my veins, just as black and whispering as the rain

it was very uncomfortable.

You probably didn't hit the right spots...Philly can be a lot of fun, but you've got to know what to do.

The asshole ratio per capita may be even higher than New York, though, so you have to know how to deal with that, too.
