Like a Knife in my neck!

I woke up Monday and I must have slept funny, because my neck hurt, and I couldnt turn to the left side.
I figured it would go away in time, and I would stretch it out once in a while.
It has not gotten better and it feels like a knife is it it! It I look up, I feel the muscles all knot up. Anyone have a suggestion (other than a Dr)?

Man I had the same thing last summer. I don't have AC at home but was staying with my wife's aunt and they have AC in the bedroom we were using. When I woke up, I could barely move my neck. The drive home was torture as everytime I turned my head to look in the mirror, it killed. It took a while but it eventually went away.
