I feel less than adequate lately in my posts. I try to start a thread but when I pull it out it just gets very limp quickly. Maybe I'm thinking about it too much. When I was a newbie I could post all night long. Two or three threads at a time sometimes I wouldnt even finish posting and the board would just pass out on me. Now nothing.I barely get it started before the thread drops out of site. I can hear people laughing at me when I post. They say " Hey look at that thread, its string is so small". It makes me hurt inside. Can anyone help me with this problem.

Oh please budday- I started 9 threads- going on ten tonight and I am guestimating that only 2 of them went on to be more than 2 pages (and that was only because people were having side cnoversations in my thread)... I guess that makes my topics boring...which is why I dont post so many.
However I do notice from time to time my threads being reserected- and I forget that I did them. It might depend on how many active posts are going on at once.
This also reflects (unlike you) I dont call the show- If I bomb on the board I have no busisness calling the show.
I have called a couple of times and they have either switched topics or someone else is on hold with the same comment/point.
I still feel like a newbie cuz I have not made an appearance on the buddays show.
Anyway- you arent the only one.

OK, the first thing I would suggest about premature posting is to post a little alone before you start posting on the board for the night. You will find that you will last longer because you got your bad material out of the way.

Next is to just relax. Everyone gets anxious when posting but it will only be worse if you are anxious. If you can just relax everthing will go fine and you will gain a lot of confidence when you're done.

DO NOT USE ALCOHOL. Yes, it may seem like a good way to relax and let your inhibitions go, but your posting will be worse and you will regret it the next day.

Finally, do not underestimate foreposting. Read a couple of threads before you post. Maybe make a few small posts before you go into the real thing. You will find your night's posting will be much more enjoyable if you forepost.

Here is the way I roll. It seems that there are threads on every topic you would want to participate in all ready existing here. Find a way to get your point across, if you feel you need to in someone elses thread. It is a courtesy to the thread author and the members that replied in it.

You will gain much more respect that way.

Today, after close to seven months unemployment, I
started work at Safeway in South Lake Tahoe.
Not to gloat but I make 65 percent more than the
average person up here just starting out.
So thats good news.

The flip side is though that with my roommate bailing
on us we are going to loose the house on July 6th.
So after working my ass off and finally getting the
job I wanted (and that I felt paid me a competitive
wage) it doesn't look like I will be able to enjoy the
position.

Joe has made it clear that he doesn't want to move to
another location in Tahoe and since I have very few
friends outside of the two of them up there it doesn't
really seem to make since for me to stay up without
them.

maybe you're doing too much self-posting. it can cut back on your thread performance time. try not posting for longer periods until you're back to full posting strength. good luck. ever tried a circle post?
