I've always wanted to be a bullpen (third string) catcher for a major league team. Think about it; you spend 1/2 the summer months all over the country possibly playing with a hall of famer (you never know) and IF someone gets hurt you MIGHT play 20 games a year. The other 142 games you play catch...or make a garden in the bullpen all the while draggin bout 250k away from the table. Obviously starting catcher for the Yankees, squatting on the same ground as Thurman Fuckin Munson did would be as close to heaven as this fat guy will ever fuckin get but third string for a few years woudn't suck.

I'm not gonna lie to ya, Reesh. I had a shitty week and told my wife I'd buy her dinner if she'd drive so I could knock out a bottle of red. That's a fairly long post for me. Wine is good conversation starter.

I went through a short stage in my life when I wanted to be a forest fire fighter.

I've given up on becoming a National Parks LE ranger. I put myself through the academy and graduated fourth, but it's just too fucking competitive and slow to get a permanent position with the NPS.

What about growing up and going up into the wild of alaska and just building a place and live everyday out there scratching away an existence being totally self sustaining. There was that documentary on PBS One Man in the Wilderness or something of the sort, that old guy was amazing. He was alone though, I'd have my chick.

When I was 4 or 5 I wanted to be a fireman, but even back then I knew it probably wouldn't happen because I was always afraid to slide down the firepole on the playground.
Now I work in the shipping and distribution department of a large insurance company. I still want to do something different.

its weird for me b/c everytime i think i want to do something different, i go do it and then i wind up not liking that either and looking to change again
all the while im not building up any kind of longevity with any company and while other people have been there for years and have a few weeks of vacay i get only the one b/c i change my career every year or two
ultimately i want to work the least amount of time, not too physical or mentally stressful but have all the benefits and good pay

I always wanted to be a hockey player in the NHL. I would have lived it except for an accident at 13 years old... oops.
I always had little dreams, I developed a thing for architecture and would have loved to be an architect but my options became limited when I found out my parents made too much jack for a student loan but not enough to send me to school. Shortly after I was a father of 3 and I live out my dream WITH them every single day.
I know I wanted other things in life but I couldn't imagine not being where I am right now.

I want to be a lottery winner so I can realize my dream of sailing the world on a huge high-tech yacht. I'd sip umbrella drinks as my crew (nubile young lasses all) tended my vessel. I'd insist they all be bi-sexual. So if I wasn't interested that particular day, they could keep themselves amused. Yeah. Kind of a James Bond villain lifestyle but with no plans for world destruction...unless I got bored.

I've always wanted to be a writer, and have always dreamed of being successful enough to be able to live exclusively off the royalties. I started writing a fictional epic when I was 16, and got about 250 pages written as of 2000. However, I began totally rethinking the overall story, and since have not written anymore of the actual story, and instead have been focusing on creating a coherent world and history to serve as a backdrop for the story itself. This has proven overwhelming at this point in my life, and I've all but abandoned it.
I have however written and completed another story (this one is about a woman who experiences a series of misfortunes, in part due to her social retardation and in part from being taken advantage of/abuse by others, and slowly begins to crack up as a result; I've written it in the form of her diary, each entry progressively chronicling her slow decline into insanity). I've yet to get it copyrighted, but once I do I plan to try to get it published. If I am able to, this would be a dream come true.

I'm only 19, so I don't have much to look back on.
I can say that at one time I wanted to not be a greasy long-haired looser in High School. I got over that quickly, and continued looking like a dirt-bag to the general population.
