Toothache Hell!

I have the worst toothache of my life right now..... I think i need a root canal, but I have to make it through the night before i can see a dentist. I'm basically sucking down orajel like Coca-cola.... I've never been shot, but I would say that a toothache is up there on the list of worst pain in the world. I can hardly function it hurts so bad.... Damn the Easter bunny and his evil candies!!!!!

oh god! i feel your pain. try not to talk too much so that the air doesnt get into it, that makes it a lot worse. you probably have an exposed nerve. you HAVE to go to the dentist to take care of that. The shot is nothing. they usually dab a little numb gel and wiggle your cheek as they insert the needle so you wont feel the pinch of it. I hope you are feeling better.

I know how you feel. Being the son of a dentist I do have some perks though. I have topical novicane. All I have to do it put it on a q-tip, swab swab swab, and presto, no sensation for the next hour or two.
But they are right. If it does not get better before office hours you should go to the ER. Believe it or not they do have dentists on standby for emergencies.

I hear ya, Just cracked Half of my Star Chweing Molar, I chew on the right side, my bottom right is out of comission until my Dentist Apt.

I just had oral surgery last week had two removed One hurt me every morning..It had a cavity under a crown..The other was way in the back and broke off...It was the best thing I have done for myself this year!!! I have real good teeth now and no pain...Sorry for your pain hope its fixed by the time ya read this!!

That sucks. I had the same thing happen to me about a month ago. Thank god my dentist gave me Vicodin to hold me over until I could get a root canal done the next day, but things didn't get better there, it turns out that the tooth fracture I had was causing some kind of inflammation in my jaw, so the pain persisted for a few days after I got the root canal done. I was lucky this all happened over a weekend, so I didn't have to take any time off of work, but I just sat on the couch for a few days popping vics, and drinking beer. It sounds fun but I was miserable.

i know it's too late, but i like to mix pain killers with booze. i forget which ones are ok with alcohol, so do some research before ya try it.
