Imus Support Rally

I've just been informed that there will be a rally to support Don Imus tomorrow morning at 6:30 am outside the Today Show. The meeting place will be at Rockefeller Center under the big statue by the ice skating rink. I'll provide more details if I get them.

ok, just got to work, stayed till 8:15. they cordoned us off on the corner, aboot 20 feet from the edge of where the crowd was. there were aboot 20 of us, people i recognized were HTG (with paltalk), mafialifechris, stalker patty and tony bagels. there were even two guys who were fans of the jv & elvis shows (one of which was also a student/radio host at rutgers!). we were vocal and drew a lot of notice from the tourists and regular folk on their way to work. a lot of thumbs-ups were given by regular folk. we also marched a bit along the side of the crowd to the side windows of the studio. the crew inside the studio noticed the protest, and i have to assume the on-air talent di as well. one woman came up and started crap aboot how we didn't have any women with us and the imus remarks were sexists. patty and HTG were pointed out to her and she felt silly. someone also provided duct tape and mouths were taped shut. lots of video and photos were taken, i'm sure they will be posted later in the day. i just wish i could have stayed longer. if anyone can make it monday, you won't be disappointed.
