It's almost Summer, which typically means the best season for concert-going. Nice weather, longer hours for light in outside venues and overall just the general "Summer mood".
I've seen a handful of shows this past Winter but for the most part missed out on one or two bands that i really wanted to see. So, my present to myself for the next couple of months is to haul my ass to as many shows as possible.
I've already bought tickets to the bands i want to see, even though Wilco and Spoon will be seconds:
April 24th- Spoon @ The Stone Pony
June 1st- Black Rebel Motorcycle Club @ The TLA
June 22nd- Wilco @ The Count Basie Theater
July 6th- Morrissey @ PNC Bank Arts Center
The Decemberists are playing Central Park July 15th, that may or may not be something i check out.
What performances are you guys looking forward to and where?

I missed out on the Slayer show in February at the 930 Club, still pissed about that. The weekend before next semester starts, I'm planning on going to Ozzfest in Philly. It's free!

I was really excited about Clutch at the 930 on 5/11, but I already have a commitment that night. I'm trying to find a way out of it.

I'm a huge Yonder Mountain String Band fan. I teach which gives me the summers off. I logged over 100 Dead shows and have now turned my energies to YMSB which is similiar in the jams and vibe of the shows. I'll be attending the following shows with other "Kinfolk" the YMSB version of Dead Heads:
4/20!! @ Eureka Center for the Arts, Eureka, CA
4/21 @ Fillmore, SF
6/23 @ Telluride Bluegrass Festival Telluride, CO
7/5 @ High Sierra Festival Quincy, CA
7/6 @ High Sierra Festival
8/10 @ Grand Targee Bluegrass Festival Alta, WY
8/12 @ same
8/13 @ same
8/24 @ Northwest String Summit Portland, OR
8/25 @ same
Gonna be a kind summer...gotta get the truck tuned up and ready to go

I saw Rasputina last Friday
Have tix for Rush for 7/8 at the PNC
I'll definitely have to find some other shows to hit. Wilco might be sold out by now, but I'd like to see them.

They're at the Troc the next day, and I shall be in attendance.
