didnt see this posted or hear it mentioned, so hopefully it wasnt.

Ron and Fez are featured in Toyfare's "Hot Plate" this month. It's the standard 10 things to check out this month type list.

The blurb goes: "Shock jocks they ain't. Ronnie and Fezzie spend their XM show (and their terrestrial radio show here in New York) talking about the same kind of stuff you and your buddies do, only they're hysterical. 923freefm.com"

Also feature on the list is budday Brian K. Vaughan getting a mention for the series close out on Y, his arc ending on Runaways, and his run beginning on Lost.

Very cool.

It's about time they get a little cred.

I've always been a bit suprised at how little mention they get in different media outlets.

It is very cool that they got the mention, but what is Toyfare Magazine, and why is a site/magazine about toys mentioning radio shows? Still cool, though.

From their site:

Not only is ToyFare magazine the #1 toy and collectibles magazine in America, it’s also the funniest magazine ever, period. Okay, that may be pushing it, but ToyFare does combine in-depth action figure, statue, bust and prop replica coverage with a healthy dose of humor. Because when you’re writing about toys—from such diverse properties as G.I. Joe, Star Wars, the Transformers, Marvel Comics and the Justice League—it’s hard to take anything seriously.

Every issue is packed to the gills with new and upcoming toy pics, as well as interviews with toy industry insiders. On the market side of things, ToyFare also features a list of that month’s “Top Ten” hottest toys and an extensive price guide covering today’s most popular toy lines. And, of course, there’s plenty of comedy, courtesy of the entirely toy-performed “Twisted ToyFare Theatre” comic strip as well as our parody newspaper, “The Monthly Rag.” Whether you’re a young teen just getting into collecting toys or a long-time toy geek, there’s something for everyone in the pages of ToyFare!

yeah its basically nerd shit, they sell it in comic book stores. the magazine covers new toys coming out, does features on old toys, and does interviews with people that are somehow involved in nerd shit. this month they interview todd mcfarlane (spawn, toy designer) and patrick warburten (putty from seinfeld, the tick from the tick, cartoon voice work including family guy and venture bros)

They work very hard at staying below the radar. Were they to become super popular then it would be like a regular job.

That's cool but it's hard not to classify them as shock jocks when they feature a pee drinker.

Cool stuff, this should cause a surge in the 8-12 year old demographic.

Actually most Toyfare readers are in their 30's. I get the magazine every month and think it's very funny. The magazine not only looks at the world of comics and toys but more recently anyway pop culture as a whole. I haven't had a chance to read this months issue yet but can't wait to see the Ron aned Fez reference.

to follow, youre thinking of warhammer and shit like that- for the most part these are prefab toys.

and to close, the word toy is in the magazine title, what more do you want?

no he would take other action figures and put shit on them and give them accessories with clay. and then paint them

so in close yes he did do that.

i totally believe the toy thing, i was saying he didnt try to have sex with out. they do features on toy modding in the magazine, and its somewhat a basis for their comic strips.

Sooo, realmenhatelife is saying that he doesn't believe patsopinion is hot enough for a toy geek to have sex with? This might be better discussed in a separate thread.

Maybe you could sell girl scout cookies at the same time...everybody likes girl scout cookies....or have girl scouts sell cookies with Ron and Fez stickers attached.
