I love to crack my back, fingers, toes, neck and any other joint/bone I can. Mornings are the best time, when the cracks are fresh and deep. My day starts off with the obligatory neck rolls on the pillow, followed by throwing one leg over the other to get the desired lower back, tail bone deep pop. A hot shower loosens everything for multiple cracks.

I like it when other people crack my back by pressing down with both palms along the spinal cord, bear hugs and have had girlfriends walk on my back. Recently, Yoga has introduced me to the groin crack, like when you put weight on one leg and twist.

I've never been to a chiropractor and have heard mixed things. Do you like to crack your bones and is it safe to do it yourself?

greatest feeling is when my sister in law walks on my back, shes the perfect weight so its doesnt hurt but it isnt too light.

I have been to a chiropractor many times. I have always wondered how these guys are considered DR's and go to school so long. Everything they do to adjust me I can do to myself. The way they crack my lower back, my neck, my mid back etc. I the only time its feels better when they do it, is when they actually do a heat treatment first (which I could do with a heating pad if i wants so lazy).

i don't crack any bones not even my knuckles, I've bent my fingers every which way and they don't crack. never been to a chiro either.

my youngest daughter used to crack her neck alot and it actually got to be a bit annoying and worrisome to me she might do some damage..

one of the things I miss about high school was the chairs. I would lean back put my hands on the back of the chair and then just throw myself back and it would crack, awww it felt so good. I cant find a chair like that anywhere.

I crack everythng my neck, back, knuckles, toes, wrist, knees, hips.

I crack stuff all the time ... and my knees crack on their own. I asked a friend whose an orthopedist about it and she said thay unless it hurts, it's ok. I mentioned that it only hurt after softball games. She said that if Advil can make you feel better after a workout then you don't need a doctor. I found it all very interesting ... expecially since when my knee cracks, it sounds like it's exploding.

when i read the thread title, that is exactly what I thought of. I miss a good highschool back cracking. I crack my neck, back, and knuckles. my right knee also pops, which sounds like a crack, but that is because i do not have an ACL. once i get surgery that should stop.

The exact same thing happens to me, I've never really worried about it, since its been that way since I was 12. Sometimes I can kick my leg out a bunch of times and get my knee to crack like 4-5 times in a row. It doesn't hurt or anything, but I'm glad one of us talked to a doctor.

It's so loud for me that it turns my wifes stomach ... the unfortunate thing is that I never know when it's going to happen really, so I can't even tell her to cover her ears.

When I was in grad school I proctored the national chiropractic exam for a few years (easy money). You don't need a college degree to get into one, just a couple of college classes. Most of the people I spoke with said that the reason they went to Chiropractic College was because it was the easiest way to become a doctor and you could make a lot of money. Needless to say, I've never been to one.

i always cracked my knuckles since i was a kid but after working out in the rain and cold for a few years everything cracks now. If i sit or stand for too long my neck gets stiff and needs to crack. My knees are in such bad shape that i struggle to get into the shower in the AM. Once in there, i crack both knees while standing under the hot water and i am good to go. My right big toe will just keep cracking all day long. My back only cracks when i lay on the floor. i used to have my nephews walk on it for me but they are both too big now.

Toes, ankles, hips, fingers, wrists, elbow, neck, shoulders and back.

If i extend my arms out elbow facing outwards and circle my arms i can pop my shoulders. I doesn't feel good at all unless i can already feel tension amounting in the area.

I don't think i crack anything out of relief besides my back and elbow and i rarely crack my knuckles, even though the threat of arthritis is a myth.

My boyfriend bear hugs me and lifts me up to crack my back and it always results in a loud whine so we don't do that anymore.

This certainly isn't true for me. You do need a college degree. I have two Bachelor's, and a DC. It wasn't easy, and I don't make a lot of money.

I literally crack everything, fingers, wrists, neck, back, elbows, ankles, knees, and toes. Usually when I'm walking up steps, my right knee will crack and it's uncomfortable. I got it X-rayed a few years and there was a buildup of scar tissue in it. I blame karate.

I never have been able to crack my back or knuckles. At least not on purpose.

Weird... I just tried cradking my knuckles and one of them actually did. I can't repeat it, though.

i also love cracking everything i can.
fingers, knuckles, back, neck, knees, ankles, toes etc.

i can also crack my chest bone (sternum?)
i cant do it on demand, or even when i want to.
maybe 1x a month, if i stretch my arms out, i get that feeling in my chest.
all i do is swing my arms back as far as they will go and POW.
it hurts for like 2 seconds, then feels really good.

this weekend will mark 3 years since myself, my brother and a friend was in a car crash coming back from Orlando. We went to a Monsters of the Morning/Midday concert, (radio show has fallen off a ton, but their shows are a blast!). Got about an hour from the house and a car hydroplaned into our right rear side and sent us into a concrete barrier at about 80mph.

Anyways, insurance paid for a trip to the Chiropractor........I was timid at first, but after going....I encourage you to go. It relieves a ton of stress and tension off your body and afterwards, you feel like a fresh bag of cracked bones.

plus, if you have insurance, see if its covered and pay the co-payment or deductible.

I also crack my sternum. That didn't start until after I injured my ribs.

I do it all, and have for years, but go through phases were I do some parts more and not others not at all.
Neck
Shoulders (sometimes)
Back
Sternum (sometimes)
Elbows
Wrists
Knuckles (even the little ones)
Knees
Ankles (wierd, but I often can't sleep until I do them)
Toes (again, even the little knuckles)

I think that covers just about everything. I'll have to see about that hip-pop.

Also, I recently started going to a chiropractor. Yes, I think I could do most of what they do on my own, but if you crack your back you know how "off" you feel when there's one spot you can't get to crack, and they can get that spot. The best part is it helps me stay loose and allows me to manage the rest on my own. It's great, I go in once every couple of weeks, in and out in 15 minutes, and insurance covers it. The first time in however, I swear I left the office at least half an inch taller.

I crack my fingers, neck , back, ankles, and even my jaw...

I crack everything all of the time. My back I crack espacially often but it's been giving me some trouble lately. My boyfriend crack it for me all the time.

When I was younger people always told me to stop cracking my knuckles because I can get Arthritis from it. I don't know if that's true but it hasn't stopped me I guess.

My neck cracks are the nasty kind though.. that you can hear across the room and say "ugghh" to.

I've never been to a chiropracter but I have gotten massages done. My lower back is killing me though and I don't know if cracking it all the time is making any better.

I cant crack my jaw and wouldnt try b/c I got lock jaw once eating an apple so Im affraid it would pop again. It hurt so bad.

As for getting arthitis or you shouldnt crack for whatever reason, I heard that was all false. I have read articles that say you should get adjustments it alines your body to make everything work properly and the cracking of knuckles can actually help you because it relieves stress from the bones and what your cracking is just gases popping.

I dont know if any of that is true but I do know it makes me feel refreshed and loose, like a new man.

My two thumbs crack all the time whenever I bend them. If I throw my arms back as far as I can, I can crack my upper back. I would love to know how to crack my whole back. My left ankle cracks every time I rotate my foot. I need my neck cracked so bad, I am in constant pain. How do you do it?
