Do you think the O&A fallout could affect Ron & Fez?

Don't know what the fuck is going to happen. I think if O&A are cut from freeFm they might change their format. I can not possibly believe that XM will get rid of them.
How it will affect R&F....I think the free Fm show will go out with the format if that happens. Maybe just maybe they might move the buddies to the mornings, but I don't think R&F would want that. As for XM they would not be affected at all.

I'm co-opting what Mikeyboy and Mojo said elsewhere and just say that the media is eating it's own - in almost an attempt to be above it all, and deflect attention. It also smacks of "gotcha" and vendetta bullshit. Just as scary as the FCC, imo. Maybe more so because there doesn't appear yet to be an outcry over this (yet). Not saying that an organized outrage won't happen - just saying there isn't one right now.

To answer the question - yes, if there is fallout it will (in some fashion) effect The Ron and Fez Show - both directly, because they share two stations, and fans, with each other, and are friends (see 2002), and because both do talk radio shows - this will effect anyone in the media who leaves themselves vulnerable by having public discourse.

I don't think R&F have job security issues (at least I would hope not), but i do think that there has to be a chilling effect everywhere from the recent actions, and if there is lasting fallout, it will not help The Ron and Fez Show.

great point. I am sure it was the companies that made them apologize, but even so it did not help IMUS, which was their big thing they spoke up about saying how if they got into trouble they would not do it.

Nah it was worse O and A did a freefm and xm apology. It was completely forced though and it was prepared, and Ant was sarcastic through the whole thing. It sucks but i guess if they had to they had to do it.

i dont see XM getting rid of O&A but worst case XM does have other studios in NY, at the Lincoln Center (I think, not sure of the name) so R&F would not have to move to DC and God forbid the hell that was Northern Virginia.

The only real changes that might happen are O&A will be a little more afraid to push the line and maybe pull back what they will say..sort of like the way the show pulled back when they signed on with Free FM(Free that is funny). I mean you can tell then Norton would want to say something on the Free Fm side and he would hold up. Now that this whole thing is affecting the XM side, it sort of sucks....no it does SUCK.

As for Ron & Fez I think they will do their show their way no matter what, I think if they lose the FM gig they would be like fuck it.

Yes. Unfortunatly many people are too narrow-minded to see the difference between a show like O&A and a Ron and Fez. We are all lucky to have found the buddies and I hope and pray that they are able to distance themselves from the special interest publicity hounds that have overtaken our current society.
