View Full Version : Personal rules to the test
Well its Sunday night & I can't sleep as happens every week. So I'll burden you with what's on my mind tonight.
In two weeks I have to go to a friend's wedding. That's cool, weddings are fun & this one should be a blast. But there is an interesting twist for me to this one.
I'm going solo, which is perfectly fine, but there is a chick that will be at the wedding. This woman is that person that the situation is never right, but we've both expressed interest. She is single...I'm dating. She's dating...I'm single. We all know the game. Now up the ante, as this event is probably our last real "connection" as adults.
Thru the grapevine I've heard that she's currently dating a guy but is looking for an excuse to rid herself of the situation. Sounds perfect? Maybe........
Here is my issue: I've got one law with women personally, Don't Hit on Another Guy's Chick. That's it. That is my rule. I never break it. It's bad karma, it's tacky and I never break it.
I think I have to break my rule. Is it the right move?

I think you have to feel it out. make small talk without hitting on her. see if she mentions the BF. if not, bring it up by saying "so i hear you are dating a nice guy" and study her reaction. she will clue you on how serious it is. this is all considering he is not there and she is also going solo. if she is there with someone, and you know it is a BF, then i say def no hitting on her.

The more I think about it, I have to make a move. It's unfinished business and it will drive me crazy forever if I don't at least throw a little bit of game out there.

Well, Except Maybe Having To Say "I Wish I Hadn't".
But F_S 100% Hopes That Epo Goes For It.

if i had to weight out those 2 options, i think i would choose i wish i hadn't as oppsosed to I wish i would have.
at least with I wish i hadn't, you know you tried and even if it failed horribly, you have a concrete answer. to look back and have to wonder is killer.

Well, Unless It Turns Out That She's An Axe-Murderer, Or Has AIDS Or Some Other Horrible Communicable Disease, And Then "I Wish I Hadn't" Would Be A Very Strong Contender.
Nonetheless, In This Case, It Almost Seems Like A No-Brainer That He Should Go For It.

here is a tip. if she does have an interest in you and wants to take things to another level, make sure she ends it with her boyfriend first. forget about hitting on another guy's chick, you don't want to be fucking another guy's chick

Yes, But Epo Needs To Give Her A Very Strong Indication That He Is Interested, So That She Will Have The Strength/Confidence To Drop The Current Boyfriend (Which She Wants To Anyway) Knowing That The New Boyfriend Is Waiting In The Wings.

F_S Went To College With Alot Of Nutty Hippies/Commies That He Still Loves As Friends, Even Though They Disagree On Everything.
For Some Reason, When Internet Discussions Turn To Politics, People Get Too Agitated (F_S Included), Where They Would Not In Real-Life.
So Fat's Been Trying To Be More Mellow, Like He Is In Real Life, Instead Of Getting All Pissy About Political Issues And Disliking People For Their Politics, Which Is Not A Good Thing.
There Is No Reason Epo And Fat Should Not Be Friendly, Even If They Disagree On Political Issues!

Don't worry Fat, she'll know...and I won't go so far as to have relations with a woman in a relationship. I might be a crazy liberal, but at heart I'm a traditional guy in that sense.

It's good to know, as I'm a lover & not a fighter.

until recently, i would have said to do nothing, stick to your rule. but you know what, fuck everyone else. you need to do what's best for you. i'm sure that the other guy would do the something if the roles were reversed.

Honestly Burrben normally I wouldn't. I've just learned that there are junctures in life when you've gotta just do what is necessary. This is one of those circumstances.
