I just spoke to Roger (probably his tech support American name) from XM tech support.
I explained to him I'm having problems with my signal and I know other XM users are experiencing the same problem.

I asked him if there is an existing problem, he said there wasn't.

He instructed me to turn off and turn on my radio, tune to channel 1. He would send a signal reset to the satellite then down to my receiver. I should wait 15 - 20 minutes for the reset to take effect.

Who knows if this is just crap just to placate me.

People on XMfan are speculating that the east coast satellite may be down. The problems are limited to the eastern half of the US. Some people in the midwest receive a signal from both satellites so they can still get a weaker signal. People on the east coast can't receive that so they get nothing. They've been turning on diagnostic mode on their units and no one is receiving a signal from the east satellite.

The worst case scenario of all this could be catastrophic to XM.

I guess I will just have to listen to recorded stuff on my MyFi. Crap!
