It doesn't come out for a couple of weeks, but has anyone listened to Marilyn Manson's Eat Me, Drink Me yet? Heart Shaped Glasses is my favorite single he's released so far, so I decided to search out the album.

If you've ever been a fan of MM, get this album. He's dropped the whole glam thing that he started on half of Mechanical Animals and is now just really depressed. This is a very dark album. I'm a big fan of this album and think its easily his best work in years.

Is he doing a tour for this album? I 've seen him like 5 or 6 times and never was disappointed. Great show and even better crowd.

There has ben minor controversy about the video from Heart shaped glasses because the beginning appears to be actual sex with his girlfriend Rachel Evan Wood

He's the one act who still performs that I've never seen that I really want to. I've always been a little worried about how teeny bopper the crowd would be, but I'll definitely go see him when he tours for this one. And yes, he is touring (http://www.marilynmanson.com/tour/).

Video for Heart Shaped Glasses (http://74.52.167.50/media/vid.html)

And I would have to say NSFW on that video.

I had no idea so many people would admit to liking Marilyn Manson. I love this board more and more every day.

I saw him twice at the Hammerstein Ballroom. If he is playing there this tour that would be a great place for you to see him.

His website says tickets are available for the US dates, but ticketmaster has nothing listed for him. But you can buy tickets from those 2nd hand ticketing (stub hub) places. So I have no idea if they are really on sale yet.

And I live in Boston, so in order to see any big band, I need to travel 45 minutes out of the city to shitty venues. Hooray Worcester! At least its not fucking Lowell.

It shows a Manson / Slayer "National Dates", but once you click it, it doesn't actually show you any dates. Usually ticketmaster will show you the dates and tell you when they're going on sale. Or let you attempt to buy tickets, even when they're all sold out.

I haven't really been a fan of his, but I really did like Mechanical Animals, maybe I will pick up the new album. That video is hot, very lesbian pornish.

This album is REALLY like half of Mechanical Animals. He basically had two "personas" for that album, a glam one and a depressed, end of the world one. And Eat Me, Drink Me is very similar to the dark songs on Mechanical Animals.

I've always liked Manson.
But I'm not too keen on this new album. I listened to it twice all the way through and I'm just not too thrilled. I saw them once at Ozzfest several years ago and they rocked the house but I never went to a headlining Manson tour.

if you do the whole torrent downloading thing then go to www.torrentz.com and its a torrent search page. it will search a bunch of torrent sites for what you're looking for. thats where i got it like 2 weeks ago.

If you dont know about torrents then I suggest not doing it at all. you will need some type of bittorent client before doing this.

If you search on torrentz.com, it will give you a list of sites that have the full album. Then you click one of those sites and it will take you to the page that has the torrent file. Then you click the torrent file and your bittorent client opens up and begins downloading.

Its a good piece of work... but a little too bare- the songs are good, and well constructed but I prefer the bombastic MM.
The one to watch for will be the next (final) Ministry album- thats gonna kick some ass.

Take care!

To anyone interested, the MM tickets for the Worcester, MA show go on sale this Saturday (June 2nd), so your area shows are probably pretty similar.

I have a lot of concerts to look forward to this year, now. I already got my Tool tickets. Hopefully I get MM tickets, Queens of the Stone Age will go on tour at some point to promote Era Vulgaris, and NIN will be touring in America at some point. Hooray! It feels like I'm 17 again.

Is it really like Mechanical Animals????
That's the only one I kinda can't stand.
I loved Holywood and Grotesque.

I'll have to get a sneak peek, to see if I should pick it up.

I am looking forward to all of the same tours but I didn't know Tool was touring again. I saw QOTSA open for NIN a couple years ago and it was a great, energetic show.

I have listened to Eat Me, Drink Me all the way through a couple of times and it is starting to grow on me. I was a big Manson fan during the American Portrait, Smells Like Children, Antichrist Superstar days and I really liked the Mechanical Animals album but have slowly fell off the bandwagon since. I do like the dark feel to this album but I have to say I can't stand the single "Heart Shaped Glasses". It's just too "pop" for me but I like the rest of the album.

So I went and saw Marilyn Manson for the first time in concert on Saturday. I've wanted to see him before, but the tickets always sold out before I realized they were on sale.

Well, this show was certainly underwhelming. It seems MM doesn't have the money from the label he once did. The stage antics are just sort of sad now. Add to the fact that the small stadium in Worcester might not have been even half full, and it was really difficult to watch. It was watching an act on its way down, and pretty fucking close to the bottom.

The songs live were good, but the only non-single he played off of any album other than Eat Me, Drink Me was Antichrist Superstar. Other than that, every song off of an older album was a single.

I'm really sad I missed him live during his peak days, but at least I got to see him.
