A whopping 87-cents. If you haven't canceled yet, or canceled after the outage last week, XM owes you a refund. You have to call them to get it. Sure it's only 87-cents, but why not annoy them by calling in to demand it.

Then, go to this thread to tell everyone what you are going to do with your big refund:

Ever since the outage last week (caused by an upgrade of the system), my xm in the car is getting the best reception it's ever gotten. I had gotten very use to certain dead spots in and around DC when driving to the different jobs (GW Parkway by the Key Bridge; 495 between springfield and braddock road), but I instantly noticed last week that everything sounds much crisper, with much fewer drops - so, imo, that change was money well spent.

On a side note, I still do get bleeding in from people with Sirius in their cars - at least once a week, sometimes 2 or 3 times, I will be at a stoplight, and I'll suddenly hear Howard, Artie and Robin yapping away. Doesn't matter of the location (Maryland, DC or Virginia) or the time of day. It has happened more than once in and around Tysons Corner - I can usually figure the car out when we get moving too. I never got the impession that DC was as big a Stern market as other places, so it always surpsies me a bit.

Same here. There is one spot in particular that I pass by every day where I have always lost signal every single time. No dropout there since the outage.

i enjoy getting family-oriented programs bled in and pray that they're getting something really raunchy from norton or patrice at that moment.

Do I get a refund because they didn't provide full service on 202? I got xm to listen to O & A and Ron and Fez. Wasn't a complete service. Where's my money?

dear XM,

it has come to my attention that you owe my .87. Vig will be calculated daily or if you wish please put the money owed to me towards making BAC 203 happen.

Thank you,
Stugots.

Yes, you do get a refund. $12.95/number of channels/2 = about 6 cents

Or you can get the 87 cents and consider yourself fortunate.
