I hate that they use the word slur. It has been so connected with nigger, spic... now its freely used for "shrimp fried lice" and "monkey". It's ridiculous. We need new words to describe the levels of racism. We've already delved into this stupidty let's at least be coherent about it.

I don't really think monkey = slavery.

While some people may have claimed that blacks were monkeys I don't see the direct relation to slavery.

So can we no longer say somebody has a mind like an elephant or stubborn as a mule ?

Black people really need to get over themselves and the name calling.

Let's focus on more important things where maybe the ground needs to be leveled as opposed to how we can and can't refer to people.
