Do you have any things that you are almost required to do now, because you did it a few times and now it has become a "tradition"? Things that you do not necessarily like to do, but which you did out of courtesy once or twice? Not that I mind doing this, but when I go out walking with my wife and then come back, she wants her feet rubbed. I like doing it, because it is intimate and an easy way to pleasure her, and I had done it the first few times we went walking, and now if I plop down without doing it, she kind of gives me silent hell for not eagerly going for her feet.
Or at work, during my break a few times I'd hang out with this guy and now if I take my break without consulting him, he gets offended.
Or every Sunday, I have been going to my parents house, and this Sunday, I decide to skip it for the week and I feel guilty when I hear the dissapointment in my Moms voice when I tell her...It is not that I didnt want to see her, I just needed a break from the "tradition"...

Its very similar to mine. My Parents always had every holiday, Christening, Communion, Confirmation, Graduation, etc... at their house. And every Sunday in the summer my Mom always wanted me to bring the family over for a barbeque. It got to the point of annoyance. We finally compromised. I bring the family (Wife and three kids) over for all the major holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter). We also try to make it for Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day... But there's no guarantees for those days. The weekly Sunday barbeque is done. It's the same for my youngest brother who still lives in the area. We talk to Mom all the time and stop by regularly. It's just that the expected weekly family visit had to stop. There was some guilt in the beginning, but it stopped after a few weeks.
