When did they get access to these shows? Was it as a result of the FreeFM show, and they got to keep using them after the show was cancelled? Did they ever discuss this?

I would guess that Ron & Fez must own the rights to all of their shows, hence having the ability to use whatever they want, whenever they want.

But that totally depends upon each contract. But that's why you hire a super agent, one like Bob Eatman.

The weekend before they went on XM they did some test shows that were never broadcast. They aired a few months later,the day after Thanksgiving 2005. It's an interesting behind the scenes look at them getting use the new digs.

Since it wasn't on the air, and since they wanted to test the phones, they made the phone calls out to various people - including an oddly topical one to me about negativity on messageboards.

but to stay current (a day behind)
i use my sansa mp3 player's voice record feature...
(on sale this week.. J AND R ... $34.95 for 1 gig...hundreds of hours of recording)

i record the 12am - 3 replay by putting the sansa between rubber-banded headphone cups...

with the suspension.. i can do it 6-9pm

the tiny sansa is manage-able on the job...
plus i can pause, rewind, and fast forward...
